  1. Im not even mad anymore that I haven't gotten tickets yet, its actually a funny situation... I waited 2 hrs, then went out to brunch, and came back and Im still waiting, I guess I should try for some road games...:dunno:
  2. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070124&content_id=1785486&vkey=hotstove2006&fext=.jsp Floyd signed a 1 yr contract with a mutual option for 2008, for $3 million with loaded incentives with the Chicago Cubs...
  3. is going to be a 1-5 starter, or reliever?... they should have signed him to a Minor League contract, haha... well at least it's only one year, but I'm not complaining, when the Sox come to town, we won't even have to stretch...
  4. I think it's a pretty good pick up until Podsednik returns from his groin surgery
  5. Who do they think they are the Dodgers?
  6. He has a slider? I heard cutter, o well... still a good pitch...
  7. They should trade Hinske for Nixon, haha...
  8. Man, that is freaky... I just can't believe hes going to play for someone other than Boston... I was thinking, you know how Nixon always showed heart, hustle, and really acted how he felt... he expressed how the fans felt as well... he was real, he cared, he shows emotion... and that's the kind of players fans love... well I was thinking who else is like that on the Red Sox, who actually plays the game hard like Nixon did and gives everything they got into one play, like Nixon... well I came up with this list of players: Varitek, Youk, Schilling, Beckett, Lowell, Papi, Pap, Lester, Wake possibly and maybe Coco and Cora... and it looks like Pedroia will develop into that kind of player also.....
  9. This kid is 21, he throws a 97-98 4-seam consistently, a low 90s 2-seam, high 80s cutter, high 70s uncle charlie, and a circle-change with downward movement. He's a righty with a lot of potential... what do you guys think of this firearm?
  10. He was suppose to hang up his spikes, what happened... this is what happens with baseball player who can physically play, they don't want to stop... I give the guy credit, just like Clemens, well sorta...
  11. Thanks for the memories and he was a True Boston Dirt Dog... he is the description of a dirt dog... to bad he's gone... good luck, hope to see you play great, but not against us... haha
  12. Im sorry, Im sorry, I meant Hank Aaron... now I look like an idiot... sorry guys...
  13. Seriously, who actually wants Barry Bonds to surpass Hank Aaron on the all-time home run record list...? do you really want to see a guy like Bonds be on top on everyone who hits home runs, for everything he's said and done, I defiantly wouldn't want to see it happen, the only good thing out of it would be seeing history being made... comments, opinions... here we go people...
  14. Bonds would just bring in more fans, which I dont think the Red Sox could get anymore of, I mean they sellout every single night... I think if Bonds doesnt go back to the Giants he should sign with an AL team, be the DH, maybe with a team like the O's or the As because they lost Frank Thomas this year to the Blue Jays... otherwise... he stays with the Giants... Bonds will never play in Boston, Bonds thinks Boston is racists for one reason or another and Boston doesn't Need or Want Bonds... it would just be another Manny... but worse... (I just felt like throwing the colors in there)
  15. Yes Manny's gonna stay, ^^...and what the hell does that mean?...^^
  16. Why not just have Coco go back to hitting #2 like he did in Cleveland, Loretta last year was a great #2 hitter, to bad he had to go, but maybe Pedroia will develop into a #2 hitter within the next couple of years...
  17. the Sox should see if Jeff Weaver will sign a Minor League Deal, cuz from what I saw last year he turned things around and was pretty clutch at the end of the year...
  18. ya i saw that, i just wonder if "E" is gonna be able to pitch like Petty, he's got a great teacher in his father I'll tell ya that...
  19. I'd put Coco in the #2 spot... he hit #2 for the Guardians so he has experience and knowns how to hit in the spot in the lineup... with Lugo hitting in front of him i think it will up lugo's running game because Youk takes to many pitches but Coco swings more and he will be a better hitter this year because he's health... and that the big thing with Coco, a lot of people haven't seen Coco healthy, so this year he will hopefully be healthy and can show what he has to offer... and like Scaffold said, Lugo and Coco can score from first, Youk can't... and wouldn't you want Youk in the bottom of the order to make it that much better, Youk can get on base, so we will have a well rounded lineup... but he strikeout a lot and that's why i think Coco should hit #2...
  20. Well here r my picks... I love watching any Sox player current or old... Others would consist of... pretty much the whole Braves team and some 'Stros players, Carl Crawford(he stole home last year, common... the problem i have with that is that it was against the Sox), David Wright, Jose Reyes, Vernon Wells, Hanley Ramirez, Ryan Howard, John Maine, Grady Sizemore, John Garland, Edmonds, Pujols, Griffey Jr., Micheal Young, Marcus Giles, and the list goes on... so pretty much, I just love baseball.
