    Lets focus on our holes first, please. IMHO, stick with Bay, let him walk after the season and sign Holliday as a FA. Lets go get HanRam. I want him back.

    And you expect that to continue, why? If it was straight up Bay for Holliday, and we were able to extend his contract, then I'd be fine with it, IF we also made other moves. We have much bigger needs right now (another dominant pitcher, C, RF - I know, who would take Drew, 3B).

    Nah, I don't want Dye. He is essentially the same thing as Bay, except 5 years older. Keep Bay, sign him to a reasonable deal, or pick up Holliday in the offseason. If the Sox go for another trade, I want to see a big bat (to fill a hole, Bay isn't a hole) or pitcher.

    When life gives you lemons, just say 'f*** the lemons' and bail. The ship maybe sinking, but it isn't sunk yet. It's taking on water and needs repair, lets hope the proper repairs are made to save the ship.

    Hunter doesn't look all that impressive. His FB is sitting at 88mph and he has been leaving a lot of pitches over the middle of the plate. I'll not be happy if he shuts us down.

    In respect to rookie pitchers, don't they still have plenty of tape/scouting on them? I find it hard to believe that in this information and technology age, almost a billion dollar franchise doesn't have the staff/resources to scout/collect footage of every single player in baseball (minors and majors).

    Surprisingly, I haven't seen "They Live". I'll be using my trusty warez-bb.org to watch it tonight. I'm a bit of horror fan, even though I think few are actually "creepy".

    I think the real question out of tonight is: how long do you keep going to Smoltz if he continues to struggle? I know it's still pretty early for him, but the question is still valid. Would it be possible to option him to AAA for a couple of starts if he is still struggling by his 7th or 8th start?

    Or... we are just going through a funk. Don't forget Dice-K. If Penny/Smoltz continue to struggle we can call up Buchholz. We could also pursue Halladay. Anyways, what team has 4 or 5 above average pitchers on their team? We will be fine. Theo will make the appropriate moves (if necessary) and we will be fine. We aren't just going to fall off the face of the earth. Step away from the ledge.
