  1. He has Seattle ans Cleveland(two s*** landing spots) and I believe the Yanks and Sox(for $ leverage, not because he won't play there). NTC are used for more things then just keeping you out of a city you don't want to play in these days. And somehow if Salty plays 1B, I still see him some how effecting the teams ERA
  2. Shocker... Him and Carl Everett should have their own show together "Honey Bam Bam"...
  3. 3K hits is a mark that pretty much guarantees your in. Anything below and it will be a tougher case. But by the time Pedey is eligible the voting process and requirements could be different then now.
  4. I can see him playing that long if he starts taking care of his body now. The more he runs through walls and fights against the occasional day off will shorten his career. If he is to get to 3000 hits he will need to pace himself. Something that will be difficult for a player of his ilk.
  5. idk it's odd KT focused in on the team Upton had over and over again stated he would not accept a trade to. Rangers are moving on say most recent reports. Atlanta would like to pair the Upton brothers up but seemingly don't match up. It's really an odd situation.
  6. At least he still has some. I'd like to see what he does outside of Seattle. And he's by far the best defensive option we have discussed recently. His slash line was not good last year. But if you look at his home away splits there seems to be sign of "potential" Home- .198/.270/.289 Away- .235/.308/.434 I like the big spike in slugging in his away games.
  7. I don't count him out, but I have a hard time seeing him getting 2K+ hits in the next 10 years. I can seem him getting around 200 a season for te next 5, but beyond that is a tough call. And he's gonna have to get 3K hits to have a shot at getting in IMO.
  8. Pedey is going to need to adjust his game as he ages or he's just going to beat himself out of the league.
  9. I wouldn't mind a trade for Smoak.
  10. After his disastrous stints in the AL East why would he want a 3rd shot? He also has a history with the Nats/Expos.
  11. He has stated he only wants to pitch for a contender. That would exclude Miami.
  12. He's injury insurance. And will likely get an opt out date if he's not in the rotation. The Nats are in a strong position to get him.
  13. I'm going to agree with Jacko. We have seen two tours of Javy in the AL East. Neither provided much hope. I think he signs with the Nats. I'd take Jurrjens over Javy. At least with Jurrjens there is some unknown upside. You know exactly what you will get with Javy.
  14. That's one thing I think we can give Cherries credit for. Whether we like what he is saying or not, it's usually pretty straight forward.
  15. If he's not negotiating with other teams his agents should be fired. He has no deal with the Sox at the moment. He's available as a free agent after this season. He might be available in a trade for this season, but it's not known if Minny is willing to move him.
  16. For 1B it's Morse, Morneau, Konerko and Morales.
  17. It's a one year deal and there are a couple actual 1B in next years FA class. So it could be better then Napoli. I'm not totally selling on Napoli, but obviously there is an issue and neither side seems keen on caving so other options should be sought out. Morse or Morneau seem like the best choices to me.
  18. They are one of a few teams. But they don't have a good LHRP the Nats are in search of unless they want to take a chance on Baneulos. I still think with all the teams considered, Morales would be one of the better options available. He can start, be a swing man, or a late inning LHP that throws gas.
  19. The Nats were going to move Morse to 1B if they did not sign Laroche. I think the Sox could do the same. I don't want him for LF. They have Gomes and Kalish for that.
  20. Damn it I meant Jacobs not Bradley jr, brainfart on my part.
  21. Really? I didn't know there was any physical issue. A back issue is a reasonable cause for loss of velocity. But as hopeful I am about the velocity turn, I know have to be weary of a lingering back issue. Damn you dojji
  22. Ya I'm worried about the Yankees interest a bit. He is a great fit for them. I just hope they don't match up well with the Nats. Morales is better then Logan. But if NY dangles Banuelos the Nats could be interested. I think they may want more of an established arm and Morales could be a big late inning arm out of the BP. Morales +Bradley jr+ Nava(he would be useful to the Nats as an extra OF) or another prospect like Cecchini. I have a hard time going above more then that talent wise. The Nats would probably have to send a low prospect back to lesson the blow on controllable years for the Sox. If the interest in him pushes the deal beyond Morales and a couple mid tier prospects then I'm gonna have to lean towards passing on him.
  23. His inability to consistently throw the ball over the plate has always been there. It's less of a worry though when throwing 97+ MPH as opposed to 92 MPH. The velocity loss is the biggest concern for Bard. If that comes back it will cure a lot of the accuracy issues IMO.
  24. Yes, but he's expendable, only has one year left and did have a wrist issue. Although with all the teams interested it's likely to bump it up beyond a BP arm. I'd be ok with then adding a Ranuado, Workman, or Jacobs. Morales is might be the best LHP available(if he is). Him plus a prospect be a good haul for a contending team.
  25. I don't think he's in any winter ball. But a chance to rest and reset over the winter plus some strengthening drills can go along way. I believe his loss of velocity was due to being bounced between RP to SP to RP. Everything just kind of snow balled on him last season and he just couldn't bounce back. I think we see a new fresh Bard that more resembles '11 Bard then '12. But we just have to wait and see what it looks like in March.
