    I figure with Schilling going down, and Coco's attitude towards being a back up, we might get some movement on this front. Where does everyone think he will end up? And if traded to who and for what? These don't have to be credited sources, but lets atleast try for them to make some sort of sense.

    Actually he gave in a bit. That number is lower then the half way point between what he wanted and the Sox offered. It's a good deal. I really don't see the Sox giving Youk a big extension. Especially if Anderson develops some power and a good bat. I think we have seen the ceiling of Youk. I expect him to perform right around where he is now. Which isn't bad at all, but if some kid comes threw the system with 30+HR potential, I don't think the Sox would let Youk block them.

    Listen when Schill said this everyone was iffy on him. He had no idea what his future was going to be. Had no clue if the Sox where going to sign him at the end of the season. The report at the time was he would only go to a contender only. Schill being the sly buisness man he is, stated he would play for TB. Thus putting out there he basically play for anyone. Now all the teams that thought they would have no chance suddenly might have one. All he did was maybe generate some more offers from other teams that he could use to bargin a better deal....

    Atleast Baltimore will be semi interesting to watch with a bunch of prospects playing. Sort of like the Marlins. There never really that good, but they play hard and make for a good watch.

    Wow its like you know Schilling so well... Schilling is a self promoter, he wanted to pitch this season so hed have a better chance at the HOF. He is not sticking around to groom the Sox kids...

    I know Sheets is said to be available. I'd take him but I'm not sure how quick the Brewers would be ready to send him off. I mean aren't they considered contenders in the NL Central?

    It will take a little more then Coco to get a decent SP. But it is a possibility.

    Gammons on Mike and Mike says Masterson is probably the 6th starter at this point. Guess there a really good chance of seeing what this kids got this season at the ML level.

    Ya it sucks but its not the end of the season or anything. Theres still plenty of time to replace him.

    If its serious, then I'd totally expect Theo to get another SP. Oak is said to be shopping Blanton, and they need a CF. Coco plus 1 or 2 prospects should net Blanton if they wanted to go that route. This was posted earlier today before the news on Schilling broke. Coco + 1 or 2 prospects sounds like a pretty good deal. Blanton could fit in nicely, and give you pretty much what Schill would, - the Playoff experience,+ durability/innings. Colon I guess wouldnt be a bad option either I guess if worse came to worse. High risk hi reward type of thing I suppose. But he is said to want to pitch in the NL. Isn't Lohse still available? Not sure I'd like that anyway...

    There top reg. season tier team. They still not built for the PO and have done nothing to change this over the winter. I said they be in it until then end but I don't see them sustaining an success in the Post Season.

    This might be some of the worst predictions ever. First off, wheres Lowell? 80 innings for Lester? I love the Sox and would be happy with most of these predictions, but if I'm not mistaken, aren't almost all the hitting stats for the players listed improved stats from last yr? I mean yes I expect some improvement from some, but this looks like it has everyone besides maybe Tek improving from last yr. But these are predictions so I'll take them with a grain of salt.

    Well I'll say declining. But C usually drop off very quick when the reach older age. We need JayHawk to show us production rates for aging Catchers LOL. Tek drives me nuts sometimes. I love the guy and respect the way he goes about the game. Then I want to strangle him when he K's and misses the ball by 2 feet. Maybe his horrendous AB's are just sticking out in my mind.

    No specific order, Detroit, LAA, BOS, CLVD. I believe these are the top teams in the league, next group, NYY(They have ? in rotation, and all there players are a yr older, but they should be in it until the end), NYM, LAD, SEA(if they aquire Bedard), CHC. and now the could go either way group, Brewers,COL,AZ,SD,

    I like the move. I didn't see Coco sticking around long in a reserve role. Which is understandable. With the BP pretty much full, and the SP rotation set for the most part, I'd like to see Crisp dealt for a young C. I know the rumor is that Tek will get a couple yr extension, but we need a young C to eventually take over. I love Tek but I'd really rather they didn't go longer then a couple yrs for an exetension on him. With everyone getting older on the team, eventually the Sox will need more production from the C position, and lets face it, Tek is just not good with the bat anymore. His game calling is superb, but his bat sucks...

    I am a Pats fan. Going in I knew there was a chance of them losing. Then when everyone and there brother picked the Pats to win, I had a feeling the Football Gods would step in and shake things up LOL They did have a special season, and them winning 3 SB previouls def makes the loss easier to swallow. And Amen to Spring Training!
