  1. It be great to let Ortiz sit against LHP with good FB's. He struggles most with them. I could see them finding 5-6 starts a week if Lowell is not around. If Lowell is then it's a whole different story. I could get on board with that. But it would also depend on who else is going. Maybe there is some deal out there that we aren't discussing. I mean a big package deal of top prospects could really intrigue a lot of teams. Even if they weren't really thinking about trading. I'll bring up a couple of my newest pipe dreams(Kilo, stop reading now;)), The first one was trading Bay to SF or some team looking for a bat. Even with his piss poor play to date, he has to be at least worth 1 or 2 good prospects. Because let's face it, the market is thin. Take those guys and flip them in a deal for Johnson and Hanley. 2 SF(whoever)+Buchholz/Bowden/Anderson/Masterson(or trade Saito and use that player)+OF prospect. Put Hanley in LF. Leave him there or maybe move him to 3B after Lowell is gone. Or Keep Bay, and insert Lowrie+1. I know Johnson and Hanley are great players. But for a franchise like the Marlins. The quantity and quality in such a deal like that has to make them at least think about it. I mean the one post said there working on something big. So why not dream right?lol:dunno: And you have to admit, when the Red Sox do something "big" it usually is a deal not a lot of people saw coming(Beckett, Schilling, OC, Bay even).
  2. I say Bard has to stay. Papelbon has been good this year not great. It seems all his saves now end with the bases loaded no one out some how find my way out of this s*** saves(exaggeration). I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the Sox deal Papelbon this off season. Sell high on him. Let Bard take over at closer.
  3. Could it be he's dominated the minors to such an extent that he just isn't used to having that many runners on? It does appear that he try to "spot" or "aim" the ball from the stretch. But a lot of pitchers do have this problem early on. So I believe it can be fixed.
  4. Hanley and Johnson;)
  5. Beckett is headed towards a CG. Which would be great for the BP to get the night off.
  6. Damn Laroche is human....lol
  7. They don't want to kill the BP for the series probably.
  8. Finally Bay! Nice hit.
  9. Good start. Nice BR from Youk.
  10. Beckett is absolutely dealing right now.
  11. Giving it the ol college effort though:D
  12. Well it was a good inning. The will be into the BP soon.
  13. Jesus Christ I hope not... The Sox need Laroche to hit
  14. Yeah!!!!! Runs!!!!!
  15. Laroche is a monstah:D
  16. If it bothers you that much feel free to ignore me. If it doesn't shut the f*** up already and enjoy the game.
  17. Valiant effort from Papi on that one lol
  18. That'll do Pedey, That'll do.
  19. Doubt it. Probably need a 3 team deal.
  20. I read that they might deal Crawford and/or Kazmir. Not saying it's likely. But they would listen.
  21. Score.Runs.Please.
  22. Laroche has been impressive so far.
  23. I wanted them to find a way to get Holliday. I'm sure some team would take Bay. SF perhaps. But now I'm not sure whos out there that would be an upgrade. I've heard TB might trade Crawford. I know they won't deal with the Sox. Maybe a 3 team deal:dunno: I've had enough of watching Bay. Yes I understand he can recover. He's just frustrating right now.
