Agree.
I think they could get him enough AB's for the rest of the season doing some kind of rotation. I don't think Bay should be benched out right. But until he shows some life at the plate and gets his head straight, I don't see any reason he could sit 1 or 2 times a week.
Also Rios wouldn't be a bad replacement for Bay next off season. If he reverts back to his old form. If not, I don't think he makes a ton or is signed to a real long deal. Nice stop gap for one of the OF prospects if anything.
Edit:Take that back, this is what's left on his current deal,
10:$9.7M, 11:$12M, 12:$12M, 13:$12.5M, 14:$12.5M, 15:$13.5M club option ($1M buyout)
Not crazy expensive, but a good chunk of change.
