    If I did that tiring glove adjustment thing between every pitch, I swing at a lot of 1st pitches as well Overall I like the move from a nostalgic standpoint.

    I would guess Salem. He will be in Portland at some point this season. But I doubt the Sox rush him through the minor league levels.

    When I was younger Mo Vaughn and Nomah. Now it's Lester/Beckett. Lester is a beacon of hope for some many people suffering from Cancer. And I have followed Beckett ever since he was drafted by Florida, and actually got to watch him come up through the minors. I was ecstatic when the Sox dealt for him.

    He is Carl Everett part duex, 2.0, the second coming of, whatever you prefer. Good amount of talent, but if he couldn't hit a baseball he would probably be slinging rock on a corner somewhere... Such a waste of talent. I can't stand players like him.

    If the Sox wait it out, Fielder may only cost money. I would wager he is hitting the open market. Boras isn't one to avoid the Free Agency market.

    CWS system is thin after the Peavy trade. So a deal might have to include Beckham. But I wouldn't trade him either. He looks legit. And his numbers will play up better coming from 2B instead of 3B.

    And just think, each year at least one of Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Toronto will be going to the playoffs. Can any of those organizations say that now? I'm not saying it's perfect, but it benefits a lot of organizations IMO.
