  1. Smoltz will be a mediocre pitcher in the AL East. If he can pitch, that is. It seems funny that the teams are switching roles. The Red Sox are going for the older guys with the pedigree, and the Yankees are going for the guys in their prime without the history.
  2. If I could get Dushku, I'd be a Sox fan. She's amazing.
  3. Really? So I guess Yankee/Red Sox tickets at the new Yankee Stadium in an inconsequential topic on Talksox, but a talk about politics and an election that is OVER is not? Moron...and you know I like you as a poster, so you get off easy with just "moron".
  4. Don't be such a pussy. I need a good trading partner. Get in here, 26-6.
  5. Every game in July I still have.
  6. I have 13 season tickets. I sell 12 a game.
  7. Do it quick. I put the tickets up at noon today, and I have 27 sales. People are truly insane. $12 tickets are going for $100 bucks...Yanks/Sox...in May.
  8. You knoow what I would love? The Dodgers to come out and say that they are out of the Manny sweepstakes. Where is he going to go then? Giants? Don't have the money. Yankees? Pretty much tapped out. Cubs? No way, with new ownership coming in. Red Sox? Funny. The truth is, Manny has no other choices. As good as he is, what he did in Boston was despicable. Is he worth the money he's asking for? Relative to his peers, no way in hell. Let Manny come back for one year at 15 million or less, or be gone. It would be nice to see Boras and Manny get taken down a peg. Boras can get a good value on a player who is a top-tier player...but who can't? He's had his pants handed to him for the most part recently. Manny is just an ass.
  9. I know, I know... I have 7 in a row in the upper deck 41 game plan, 3 in the bleachers full season plan. Non-premium games at face value. Mets/Phillies/TB/Boston at a slight increase for Talksox fans. Let me know if you're interested. I'd also be interested in trading Yanks/Sox in the Stadium with someone up in Fenway for Yanks/Sox. Relative ticket prices, I know Fenway is more than Yankee Stadium.
  10. Henry is full of s***. He said the same stuff when the Yankees traded for Arod. This is after the Red Sox botched their attempted trade for Arod. Check out this article. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/7097874 Notice that Henry states this after the Yankees make a big splash. He wasn't calling for fiscal restraint after his team spent $200+ million in one off-season for Drew, Lugo and Dice-K. He didn't call for it when he bid more than 20 million MORE than any other team to get Dice-K. Coming from the Brewers and the Royals is one thing. Coming from Henry...he's full of s***.
  11. It's the other way around. They yank him. Finally...now I understand you. You like to yank the prostitutes. This goes a LONG WAY in explaining you to us.
  12. If Jacko was on Noah's Ark, he would have called the flooding "a minor drizzle". Jacko..have you ever SEEN him pitch? I haven't. I doubt you have either. Have you not realized that the Yankees PR machine hypes every potential prospect to inflate their value if they want to trade him later on. I'll reserve judgement on a player until I see him play. You don't...you believe what you read. This is why I'm right much, much often than you are. Stop believing everything you read. Kid had TJ surgery. He has pitched under 50 IPs in AAA in his career. Appointing him as closer is premature...to say the least. As far as I'm concerned, he's a non-factor until he proves otherwise.
  13. I still think the Sox have the better team. I am not sure I like Joba in the rotation. I think that Hughes, Kennedy, or Aceves can be a decent #5, and Joba gives the Yankees the best 1-2 punch in the bullpen in baseball.
  14. Wanna trade?
  15. Not only am I in, but I will be the 2009 champion. No questions asked.
  16. I'm going to go on record and say he's going to have a monster year, much closer to 2007 than 2008 in terms of production. Reason? That's it.There's nothing left. He's lost his wife due to a divorce. His contract situation is squared away. He really can't be booed anymoe than he has. His stats have lost credibility with a lot of people due to his involvement with PEDs. The only thing left for him to do is to win. To take his team to the Wold Series and win it. I believe that he sees that now, and that's it for him. You know, this guy hasn't had much luck under the gun. Bad playoff performance and being dropped to 8th, a failed marriage in a scandalous turn of events involving a stipper and then Madonna, his obsession with Jeter...it's one thing after another. At this point, I believe he'll see October as just another baseball game. He's been through worse.
  17. Diaper, I didn't realize they had computers for use for Walmart employees.... How are you, my carribean friend?
  18. Strangely...I have nothing negative to say.
  19. Good one. Stay up all night thinking of that one, ItallianPony?
  20. Exactly. I wouldn't be shocked if Jeter was on the list. No one is beyond reproach here.
  21. Dude, I get better than that.... With his money, I figured on a supermodel type of girl. All those billions, and he gets the girl next door. Eh.
