  1. I never really liked the guy all that much. Yeah yeah, nice homerun off of Mariano. However, he has a lot of holes in his swing, and he doesn't scare me much. I see him as a .825-.850 OPS hitter from now on. That's it. For what it's worth, I hated Nady as well. I thought the Yankees bought high on him, and I was hoping the Yankees would trade him to the Braves for a few prospects. In retrospect, it would have been a great move.
  2. Same difference. How is Jason Bay now? Right around his career OPS. However, his OPS month by month reads as follows: 1.124 .978 .701 .699 I can't wait for you guys to sign him to a long-term extension. The guy is garbage. LaRoche didn't cost you anything, but he isn't much either. A marginal move, like our Hinske move. If LaRoche sees more than 1-2 games a week, your team has a problem.
  3. We need to have a 5 game lead going into our series against you. Just in case.
  4. You're funny. A guy who spent his entire career in NL East, as a fill-in behind Ortiz/Youk/Lowell is going to be a difference maker. Get real. That said, the Red Sox gave up nothing to get nothing. This is like the Hinske deal for us. Hinske has done well so far, but he isn't the difference maker...and neither is LaRoche.
  5. I wonder why no one in Boston is talking about a Damon return?
  6. I don't know exactly, but as per ESPN, the Yankees have won three straight games by a 2-1 score for the first time in 18 years.
  7. Is it my turn yet?
  8. Pray tell. I've picked up a few things, I'd like to compare notes.
  9. Holy s***...you watch the games? Isn't that some sort of blasphemous act around here? You mean you don't sit around masturbating to pitch f/x or FanGraphs and moaning how the pitch is 1/50th of an inch outside and your team didn't get the call?
  10. I don't buy that home field advantage too much in the playoffs. Not with the Yankees. We've won [and lost] on the road and at home at pretty much the same clip.
  11. Yeah, it's convenient. Only an idiot like you would think I'm only here after a Yankee win after I've posted here a couple of THOUSAND times. It must suck to be the last girl left in the bar every weekend.
  12. All good points. However, this team has been behind the eight ball all season. With pretty much both of our teams healthy now [Wang and Dice are out, but suck anyways], it's going to be fun to see who makes it. From a Yankee point of view, I'd rather face the Tigers than the Angels. That's why I'd rather finish with a better record, since I assume the Angels will be better than the Tigers. It's a little premature, I know. Plus, I'd like Tampa to be chasing you, not us, if you know what I mean.
  13. Yeah, but he only dialed it up a few times. I'd like to see that kind of consistency from him [94+] for the whole game.
  14. With our win, back to one game out. Hopefully Texas puts a hurting on you on the road, and we take care of business at home, and tie for first by the end of the next series.
  15. Is hockey still considered a sport? I kinda put it on the same level as beer pong.
  16. Joba dialed it up today. I hadn't seen him hit 97 all year. His mechanics looked off, like what DipreG was saying. His release point was all over the place. Good call DipreG. I missed that one.
  17. I hope we trade him for Halliday.
  18. Just shoot me a PM when it's my turn.
  19. You know what would be cool here? A shout box at the top.
  20. I hate all of you. f*** Boston.
