  1. OH MY GOD! Jacko doesn't think that every single player in the Yankee system is a future HOFer. Jacko, this deal was an outright steal.
  2. The whole thing is, that pitch was called a strike all game. For both sides. Like I said, you had two calls go the Sox's way, Melky's caught stealing and Pedroia's stolen base, and no one said a thing. Now if we can just split the next two, we take the series, and like I said before the season started, we win the East. Hopefully Tampa can knock the Sox out of the playoffs.
  3. On YES, he was out. On Baseball Tonight, he was out. On ESPNews...guess what..replay showed he was out. Only you think he was safe. Now...it was a bang-bang play..but he was out. Watch the highlights of Arod's called strike and Lowell's called strike. Then come back and post. Foster had a big strike zone with two dominant pitchers on the mound, regardless of the zone. Nice to see a pitcher's duel. Let's hope the rest of the series is as exciting.
  4. You guys are a bunch of whining babies. Seriously. It's the same exact location he struck Arod out on. He's given the inside corner ALL GAME to pitchers. Lowell is an idiot, and so are you guys if you don't realize he's been consistent with his calls. That said, the pitch looked a bit inside, but he'd been calling it all game. He added an inch or two up, down, and outside. Up to the players to adjust. How come you guys aren't crying when Melky was called out trying to steal, but replays showed he was safe, and when replays showed that Pedroia was out, but was called safe. Change your tampons.
  5. Who would have thought that both Ellsbury and Melky would both be outright terrible?
  6. Suddenly, after years of pacifism from Joe Torre.... You guys don't like it so much, do you know? What a game, either way. I love pitcher's duels.
  7. Jeter is not picking up the breaking ball well this year. Damn. You guys are lucky it's only 1-0 at this point.
  8. MLB announces Marte and Nady traded, but not where. Hope we got one of them. Edit: According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, the Yankees have acquired outfielder Xavier Nady and reliever Damaso Marte from the Pirates for Jose Tabata, Ross Ohlendorf, Phil Coke and one other minor league prospect.
  9. No. YES. Probably didn't show he was out..bad business, lol. Trust me, out. Moot point anyways. Lowell owns Joba. Damn, Fenway gives and takes away.
  10. He was out JHB. Ump missed the call. Kinda obvious. Got him on the thigh before the hand got down.
  11. Not as much of a loss as everyone makes it out to be. Sure, he's a good hitter for a catcher, but I'd rather have Molina back there. Is it any wonder that the Yankee pitching is better than it has been in years? Take your time Posada. I don't understand why the Yankees don't go get Lofton or pretty much any hitter to play the OF. Love to see Melky and Ohlendorf go to the Pirates for Nady and/or Marte.
  12. Torre can't manage a bullpen. Period. Never knew how, just had the horses. Think Grady Little versus Tito Francona. Exact same thing. I can't believe you are actually arguing this point.
  13. I lost respect for you when you became a Joe Torre Athletic Supporter.
  14. Two very low risk, moderate reward moves. Like when you signed Colon and Casey. Not much to lose there. The Yankees are paying Sexson the minimum I believe with Seattle picking up the rest of the tab.
  15. Manny should be suspended by the team. This has nothing to do with the race, et al. You request tickets, the request may not be fulfilled. There is no excuse. None whatsoever. He pushed a man in his 60's to the ground. Unlike the Zimmer thing, where Zimmer went after Pedro in a baseball fight, there is absolutely no excuse for what he did. I was hoping the Sox would let him go at the end of the season and we'd get a crack at him. Best thing Theo can do is trade him to Kansas City or Seattle. Let him see what it's like to play in games that don't mean s***. Maybe the Pirates would take him for Nady and Fuentes.

In order: Mo Soria Krod Nathan Papelbon The team would have been better off with Giambi, Dye, Posada, or Mussina than Paps. Like I said, second worst all-star that wasn't voted in.
  17. You guys are idiots. Did you expect the NY fans to applaud Papelbon when he got in? You guys are clueless. He got booed, and deservedly so. He also gave up the go ahead run, and he got booed again. I guess Papelbon expected everyone to cheer him after his comments. What kind of reception do you think Arod would have gotten if he came out and said he was better than Manny and Boston should have signed him and let Manny go? Wake up.
  18. We did. Say what you want about us in the bleachers, but we know the game as well as anyone.
  19. I hate to say it, but Francona is a class act as a manager. He let Jeter bat second, which he didn't deserve, and Arod bat fourth in the All Star game. He took both out in the middle of the inning so they could get the applause from the fans. Rather than take a chance on not using Rivera, he burned Krod to get Rivera a guaranteed chance at pitching in a tie game. Hat's off to you Francona. You understand the history and the tradition of the game as well as any manager I've ever seen. As a Yankee fan, seeing the final All-Star game at the Stadium, you made it as special as you could with your managerial decisions. As a Yankee fan....thank you.
  20. I was quoted in that article. I LOVE IT! Dude, the bleachers..if you noticed we stayed the WHOLE GAME! We cheered Drew. f***, we would have cheered Ted Williams if he would have ended the game. Great game...Papelbon sucked, Wagner blew the save, Mo was awesome, AL won. Drew MVP was the only slight, but hey...better him than someone from the NL. A good day..until I got outside and my car was burglarized. I love state farm insurance!
  21. I don't know about the rest of the stadium, but the bleachers emptied out in two seconds.
  22. f***ing sucks man. What can you do?
  23. Who's wife is pregnant? What the hell are you talking about?
  24. That was the weirdest game I've ever been to. It felt insanely weird to root for Red Sox players. At least Papelbon showed why he SHOULDN'T close games. Him and Tek were downright awful. f*** Paps. Then to top it off, they broke into my car and stole my ipod and Gps. f***. Oh well. Thank Goodness for insurance.
