That was the most amazing match I have ever seen. I'm tired of everyone saying Federer is done, this was a passing of the torch, etc. Article in the Daily News today....stated that the writer wished that Federer and Nadal just got a bye and went straight to the finals. Amen.

Varitek is finished as a viable offensive option. He has been since the end of 2005. As Yankee fans, we are seeing the decline of Jeter. It happens to all players. Anyone who thinks Varitek is, or could be, a good hitter from this point on, is clueless.

Exactly, and like I had said at the beginning of the season. No different than Papelbon and the idiocy here that had some believing that there was/is more strain on a reliever than there is for a starter. I will forever hate you Curt Schilling. I will also always respect you as one of the best opponents the Yankees ever had, and one of the few, the very few, that came out on top against us, and not just once. Good luck to you.
