  1. He's still very capable of being a .290 30HR 120RBI player this yr, which is what I think he will end up with. Surprisingly enough, hitting in front of Cano has caused his OBP to go down a bit. Not many people willing to bypass ARod to face NYY's best hitter
  2. He doesnt have utility Dojji. He's now a minus 3b and a liability in the field due to lack of range and injury potential. He's a 1b/DH
  3. Nothing stop the worst team in baseball from doing that. Every team hopes they can slip through whomever they want, but as it turns out, only the overpaid guys slide through. The only risk a team takes in claiming a player is that the waiving team doesnt pull the player back and the claiming team needs to assume the contract. Happened with Alex Rios last yr, overpaid player that the White Sox claimed and the Jays never pulled him back. Turned out to be a great move for Chicago as he is probably their second best hitter behind Konerko right now
  4. Hall is not being paid by the Red Sox, not sure why people are including him in their salary loss. Milwaukee is paying his entire salary minus $400K
  5. Very happy to take back first place.
  6. Agreed Meh. We should flex our muscle
  7. I like the way Posada and Hughes have adjusted this past inning. I am perfectly fine with Hughes operating at or above the letters. His FB may be 92-93, but he hides it well so letter high FBs are rarely turned on. I would have caution as the game goes on, though. Cause 6 inches lower and the pitches are meatballs
  8. I love the Williams pick. Just speculating, but he'd probably be in the 25-40 range due to prospect depth in this system. 5 yrs ago, he would have been a top 10 ranking, but this system is stacked
  9. The only way I see the Yankees in on Crawford is if they deal Gardner or Granderson. Swisher has been our second best player this yr
  10. Hughes has a good hook working today. Seems like his pitch selection has been mediocre at best, and that falls on Posada.
  11. There isnt actually. The minor league season has about a month left
  12. I am slowly pulling together my top 50. A lot of that has to do with who we sign as well. Austin slides into the 40-50 range, Taylor Anderson, even with his elbow surgery, is gonna be in the 45-50 range. If Gumbs signs, then he falls into the top 30. Segedin would be in the mid teens somewhere. I think Kahnle fits into the top 50 as well and if we sign Encinas, then he'd find a way too. I am also intrigued to see who we sign out of the IFA ranks. If we sign that Heredia kid out of Mexico, then he'd be top 20 as well.
  13. YESSSS. Now he is gonna go on a f***ing tear. This is his 3 yr anniversary of his 500th as well
  14. Gary Sanchez leads the GCL in RBI. The league started in mid June and Sanchez missed 2 weeks, but he still leads the league in that category. This kid is gonna be fun to watch
  15. The muscles in the hand are very amenable to repair. It's very intricate and the surgery is generally a thing of beauty. These hand specialists are used to incredible detail and microsurgery
  16. Right, but the sox wouldnt deal away a treasure trove of prospects and MLB talent for a guy and not extend him. Plus, with the sox being at their highest payroll ever, and in this uncertain economic climate, you are seeing a lot of teams pare payroll rather than add
  17. If you get Adrian Gonzalez, then you're gonna be signing him to a $20 mil per yr deal, which makes getting Crawford much less realistic
  18. Reddick is building up his trade stock. I highly doubt he supplants anyone in the sox OF due to his lack of patience. He looks like a kid who will need to be eased into a role in a lesser location. He's looked lost when he's come up in the past. I see him being dealt this offseason. Kalish has really jumped past him on the depth chart, IMO
  19. Brandon Laird went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI in his second AAA game. His bat is looking really special. Corban Joseph went 2 for 7 with 3RBI, a double and a triple in his first taste of AA.
  20. He broke 4 ribs anteriorly and 1 rib posteriorly. He's gonna feel it for a long time. Some people still have some discomfot for yrs. Once they heal, though, he wont have to worry about reinjuring it. He'll just need to tolerate the pain
