  1. 3 more innings out of the lottery ticket, then cash him in
  2. He's got a chance to be average at 3b. His lack of power is going to necessitate either GG defense or a very high average-OBP combo. Nowadays, in order to be above average or better at 3b, you need to have good power, which he doesnt have
  3. Jon Miller is a retard. "and with that hit, Jeter passes Babe Ruth for most hits in Yankees history." Wrong. He passed Babe Ruth on the all-time list. Ruth had hits on the Braves and the Red Sox as well. Jeter already leads the Yankees, after passing Gehrig last yr
  4. So, Sean O'Sullivan and Brett Cecil baffle us. But we can make solid contact with regularity of Josh Beckett, who isnt missing too badly today IMO
  5. That too. His last few appearances, I have seen him locate the slider a bit more which is probably why he's been so dominant.
  6. I said initially that he would be a $5 million sign. I inflated it after his CC appearance, but after doing a bit more research, it looks a bit high
  7. That should turn those into earned runs now.
  8. Joba has either been lights out or terrible this yr. He's on a good streak since being removed from the setup role. 5.1IP 1H 0ER 5K 1BB. Speaking of Joba. Kinda interesting stats. It seems like his stuff is mental more than anything. He went into a game on May 16th with a 2.16ERA. He then allowed 10ER in his next 5IP. He then allowed 6ER in his next 14.2IP (3.67ERA) but showed continued problems with control. He then allowed 10ER over his next 6IP. This removed him from the setup role and essentially has put him back on track again. I know you cannot just remove samples, but if you remove his two bad streaks, you have 8ER in 36.2IP, for a 1.96ERA. This tells me he has two problems. 1. He has been inconsistent in his command 2. He lacks mental toughness. His stuff is back, throwing 97-98 consistently of late. He just lacks trust in his stuff
  9. Solid play right there
  10. Well, his "worth" is up for debate. It's a negotiation. Boras is gonna look at what the #2 guy in the draft got over the past few seasons and then will point to his ranking at #2 in the pre-season before his injury dropped him. Then, he will point to his Nintendo numbers in the Cape Cod league and say that he's healthy, so pay him like the guy he was supposed to be pre-injury. Ackley got $6 million at the #2 spot last yr. My guess is that he's asking for something in that range
  11. 1 inning down, 5 more before we cash in our chips on this lottery ticket
  12. And the current players facing Moseley are hitting .238 vs him. The fact remains, he's pretty foreign to them
  13. tired mostly. Just spend the last 3 days partying with med school buddies. A little worn out
  14. where did you hear this? Lane Meyer from scout.com has shot this down
