  1. SFF, it isnt anything to be ashamed of. Not a great rookie season, but certainly promising and passable. He needs to limit the walks, but the K's are good and his stuff is definitely big league caliber. I would think he has cemented himself as a starter for the sox next yr
  2. 6-8 months for a position player. 12 months for a pitcher. He doesnt seem to be a fast healer and 8 months puts him in late April. They are running out of time. Every day they wait, they are losing another day of next season
  3. Doubront to DL with a knee injury
  4. Exactly. If they and Detroit are on the outside looking in, then we really have a pretty straight shot to the WS.
  5. thanks yz, yeah, the errors are getting worse and worse
  6. a700, the Angels are the most dangerous WC team, IMO. If they make a push to the playoffs and Haren starts coming back to form, they'd have the most dangerous top 3 and the most dangerous lineup.
  7. Ross is on pace for his best career season. The OF market was really 2 guys after Victorino fell off the map in Melky and Hamilton. With Melky on the juice and Hamilton looking for a payroll altering pay day, Ross is gonna be in high demand. I think he could definitely get a Willingham type contract, 3 yrs $21 mil on the open market. And if the team isnt the Red Sox, then he's gonna crap out
  8. Another big night. Hughes was great in 6 of his 7 innings, and if not for his own f***up, we'd have shut out the sox.
  9. Salty appears to be looking for 88mph pitches down and in. Not 87, not 89, 88mph pitches down and in. He will always swing as if the ball is down and in. I am not sure why anyone pitches his down and in
  10. What an interesting game. 5 homers by the Yankees, all solo shots
  11. I think they view a callup of Iglesias as giving up. And they arent ready to do that just yet. I think sox nation is ready, but once the sox are perceived to have given up on their season, then the seats dont sell out and the business side gets hurt a little
  12. The Yanks are having some good swings off Morales. Hughes just needs to get the game's dick off his tonsils, though, and hold them here
  13. After seeing what he's done this yr, it looks like he's just a slow starter
  14. Hughes has the stuff to be an ace. He has the brain to be a group home resident. Man, he is so f***ing soft
  15. Hughes f***ed that one up real good. WTF??
  16. You push him through to AAA next yr and see how he goes. If he is dominating AAA, then you wait for him to get white hot and bring him up. The Yankees wanted to do that with Montero last yr, but he started off so dreadfully in AAA, they had to wait till August
  17. You guys overexaggerate the stadium's effect on him. A lot of his homers are into the second deck here. I'd probably say 3-4 of them are Yankee Stadium specials. Most of them are right down the line, which is a homer in most stadiums anyway. The real spot where the Yankees get more of their homers is RCF. And Granderson usually pulls his right down the line
  18. The rain is due to stop within a half hour. It's due to be clear skies around 9-10.
  19. Now if you want to complain about the last 2 homers, then you definitely have a point. Swish's homer, though, is out of every park in the game
  20. at KC this yr. He hit an absolute bomb. Most of them are of the RF short porch variety, though
  21. SO I make you look like a fool and this is your response. Typical
