  1. The team is dead. It's offseason as far as I'm concerned
  2. So in 2010 were nothing compared to this. Let's run through the list here.... March Curtis Granderson to the DL 3/31 Phil Hughes to the DL 3/31 Derek Jeter to the DL 3/31 Mark Teixeira to the DL 3/31 Michael Pineda to the DL 3/31 Lost for season April Phil Hughes activated 4/6 Francisco Cervelli to the DL 4/27 (lost for season) Ivan Nova to the DL 4/27 Joba Chamberlain to the DL 4/30 Kevin Youkilis to the DL 4/30 May Eduardo Nunez to the DL 5/12 Curtis Granderson activated 5/14 Andy Pettitte to the DL 5/17 Ivan Nova activated 5/24 Curtis Granderson to the DL 5/25 Joba Chamberlain activated 5/28 Mark Teixeira activated 5/31 Kevin Youkilis activated 5/31 Corban Joseph to the DL May 31 (lost for season) June Andy Pettitte activated 6/3 Kevin Youkilis to DL 6/14 (lost for season) Mark Teixeira to DL 6/18 (lost for season) July Jayson Nix to DL 7/3 Eduardo Nunez activated 7/6 David Phelps to DL 7/6 Derek Jeter activated 7/11 Derek Jeter to DL 7/11 Zoilo Almonte to DL 7/20 Luis Cruz to DL 7/24 (lost for season) Derek Jeter activated 7/28 Travis Hafner to DL 7/28 (lost for season) Jayson Nix activated 7/29 August Curtis Granderson activated 8/2 Alex Rodriguez activated 8/5 Derek Jeter to DL 8/5 Melky Mesa to DL 8/22 (lost for season, the released) Jayson Nix to DL 8/22 (lost for season) Derek Jeter activated 8/26 September Derek Jeter to DL 9/11 (lost for season) Brett Gardner injured 9/12 (lost for season) Just look at that list. At one point, we had Jeter, Nunez and Nix on the DL. We had Luis Cruz, who was a scrap heap garbager hit the DL and one of the MiLB guys hit the DL at the same damn time. We've been decimated and I think Gardner's loss kills all possibility of a run. The sox stepped on the throat and theyre dead now
  3. I would think it'd be the other way around. Drew will be the best FA SS out there, a $13 mil QO is gonna get turned down. For Napoli, they got a good deal on him this season, but with his hips the way they are and the fact that he's one year older, there'd be a good chance he accepts. I think the sox go all out for Abreu and if they lose out on him, they could probably bring Nap back for 2 yrs $18-20 mil or so and save some dough
  4. and who, pray tell, has seen more injuries?
  5. That's what I was getting at. Their disability time paid out this yr could rival some small island nations GDP
  6. Man they suck. It's kinda strange watching this team all yr. They seem to turn a corner only to have another injury followed by pathetic performance after pathetic performance. I guess that's baseball, but the amount of injuries this yr is probably record setting
  7. I have a fair amount. But I don't show my entire hand at any point there captain. Alright guys, good night. Gotta start the long walk to the bedroom. CC vs Lester tomorrow, so I am fully expecting another lead by the sox followed by a comeback from NY and an appearance from our pen. Here's to hoping they don't gag on the cock again
  8. High fastball, low splitty. It looks like hitters cannot tell the difference coming out of his hand
  9. Looks like I struck a nerve there
  10. This is the kind of game where a baserunner isn't the end of the world. This guy has been amazing this yr
  11. I'm sticking around because you guys amuse me
  12. Maybe we can break the trend and get a f***ing baserunner against this guy
  13. I will admit that I work a lot and you are welcome for the public assistance that I paid for
  14. Here, I'll tell you right now, I might be around for the first hour of the game tomorrow. After that, I'll be working. Would you like my schedule prior to every game? That can be arranged
  15. Flexible hours? I work shifts in a hospital. I got out at 9
  16. Really, you're hilarious. I love how enamored you are with me Brennan.
  17. If Melky could hit like he did when he was on roids, I'd welcome him back. I think the roids were the reason for his spike in production, though
  18. SO I showed up with the Yankees down 2. That was the ripest experience? Really. LOL
  19. Wow, lol. Coming from the guy who seemingly calls me out every time I say I was at work when I hop on board. As long as you keep acting like you don't know how employment works, the more I will continue to educate you
  20. I wouldn't mind Jhonny Peralta next season on our team. Not at all
  21. Jacoby Ellsbury is making money riding the pine right now. Bradley doesn't have it yet. He looks scared.
  22. Location, location, location. His 2 seamer is running too much at times, not enough at others. He's hitting a lull. Stuff is still good
  23. You trolling ******* douchebag who cannot stick around until the bitter end..../sarcasm. Those with no employment forget that someone has to pay the piper for their welfare checks, lol.
  24. He's out of gas. Has been for awhile.
  25. You must not be capable of reading. I told you he was gonna hit a granny. I didn't go anywhere
