  1. Pedey didn't field the ball, so that doesn't work. Pedey would have had to field the ball, run into Drew, then fumble the ball into the RCF gap to allow all 3 runs to score to come close to the butt fumble
  2. Ah yes, the "you were lucky" crowd. I wasn't born into the silver spoon that you are stereotyping me into. I was raised in a lower middle class home in a tiny little house with 2 other kids with two parents who instilled in me the work ethic to become what I am today. I make no apologies nor do I consider myself lucky. I worked damn hard to get where I am. And if I had to work that hard, I expect everyone to. I am all for helping out those who work their asses off and still cannot make ends meet. But I do feel paying others without motivation is how this country got lazy.
  3. Farrell trusting Buch here is interesting. Buch doesn't have a lot of mileage this yr and he just came back from injury. He looked dead that last inning. He shouldn't be in there
  4. Yes, enjoy getting free money while it lasts, seeing as...well, politics isn't really allowed here, so lets leave it at that.
  5. Are you seriously calling out anyone as a troll? When I post on this site, you follow me around like a puppy dog looking for a treat. Be a good boy and run along. The adults are talking
  6. It's tied. Math isn't your strong suit, is it?
  7. My second favorite team is anyone who plays the sox. Man, you just aren't very intelligent, are you. And yes, you are welcome people like me allow you to live off the government teet. Enjoy it while it lasts, lol.
  8. LOL. Here is to hoping the Rays come back and take the next 3. Then you can care as much about the postseason as I do. Right now, my second favorite team is in the playoffs, and I am rooting hard for them.
  9. This Rays team is a team that is obviously young. They seem to be playing scared and ever since Myers muffed that ball in game 1, they hadn't had anything to prove that they belong, until that homer. Might be too little, too late, but young teams ride momentum more than others. Longoria might have just pushed them back into this
  10. Matching him pitch for pitch vs dominating through an entire series is a little different. Kershaw is the best pitcher in the game right now. He is a decided advantage vs anyone they face. The Dodgers have the best 1-2 punch, IMO, with the Tigers coming in a close second.
  11. The Rays look beat. They had to scrap the last month just to tie for a WC spot. They played two elimination games and now they're dead. Here's to hoping they can at least get back to Boston. I thought an actual team would show up in the bean. But they look utterly defeated. To the sox credit, they are hitting on all cylinders
  12. TBS sucks. They seem to miss at bats with their extended commercial breaks and they don't even show replays of big plays. They should be embarrassed.
  13. This is a tough test for the sox. Theyd have been better off with either Texas or Cleveland
  14. One guy reached over the rail and made the HR questionable. If he didn't reach over, it likely hits the top of the wall. The double was grabbed by a fan as well.
  15. These dumbass fans don't know the rules of the game since most of them likely haven't been to a game in decades
  16. I still think the Dodgers aren't serious in this. Either that, or they are printing money in Chavez Ravine. If they nab Cano on a ridiculous deal, they'll be in the 250+ mil range and that is before a Kershaw extension. They're probably in it to raise the price. I see NY getting him back (regrettably) for 7 yrs $190 mil
  17. Salty hit it just right. He'll hit FA and he will likely regress ridiculously. If his BABIP drops to even .330, his numbers would be piss poor. He's gonna get a big contract because of the dearth of talent at the position. And whomever signs him will regret it. The sox are better off getting a sup pick and letting him walk. They can see what Lavarnway could do in a full season. Chances are, he'll have a similar WAR to Salty in 2014
  18. Find me a team not full of cheaters and scumbags going back 20 yrs and I'll call you a liar. Every team had cheaters, it is just the culture.
  19. The Cubs have a very bright future. They just needed to get out from under the terrible contracts doled out by the former regime and the single handed franchise destruction at the hands of Dusty "I'm gonna run my kid pitchers into the ground" Baker. Imagine where the Cubs would be had Dusty not run Wood and Prior into the ground and they reached their potential. Things would be very different
  20. A legit #1 doesn't just put up the big numbers, they put up the big innings and the durability. Buchholz puts up the stats, but cannot stay healthy. If he kills it this post-season, the sox might be best served by moving him when his stock is sky high
  21. I am rather sure he was honest, mostly because he testified and never received a government penalty. I know he cheated, but I highly doubt he was still cheating
  22. I disagree a700. Pettitte did cheat, but he was forthcoming with it and honest about it, so far as to testify against his best friend. Pettitte and and Mo spent way more time together than he and Jeter did, I guarantee, even with 4 yrs carved out of Pettitte's career.
  23. Girardi should go. I've given him s*** nearly his entire tenure in NY, but he was pretty masterful this yr. Keeping that heaping pile of s*** afloat was a miracle. I hope he re-ups, but I think NY is in a death spiral that should take 2-3 yrs to come out of. It would behoove him to go to a team that's already hit rock bottom rather than one on its way there
