  1. Might be that the AL isn’t what it used to be. ALE is a buzzsaw, but the central is a dud and the west will end up as Houston’s division in the end even though Harmony wishes the Mariners were ready for prime time
  2. I’m getting late 90s vibes from this team. Every starter has been nails. Pen is deep with many options to reliever. Closer is great. Offense gets on base. They have now found ways to manufacture runs, steal bases, get on base and still hit long balls. Their defense has been awesome. They’re a well oiled machine now that the bats have come alive. They’re third in baseball in OPS and second in ERA
  3. Jays aren’t melting and the Yanks have found their sticks. Sox will need to start kicking it into gear to contend for the division. But 6 teams make the POs now. They’ll have their chance
  4. Is that the excuse now?
  5. Yanks pummel Royals. Offense finally showing up. Cortes was good enough. It’s like a switch flipped
  6. I never understand guys getting a rest against the best teams in the game. Sit them vs Baltimore. No reason Bogey should have sat
  7. trading for. Exit Boone and Soriano, enter AFRaud
  8. I will. I’ll enjoy watching the Sox sink further and further down the standings.
  9. 5 in a row. First place in division. Lineup still needs work, but the rotation and pen have been lights out
  10. Diekmann is a middle reliever. Sometimes he pitches well enough to be a setup man.
  11. Offense came alive last couple games. Hopefully it’s a trend and not a blip
  12. And that's the game. f***in A sox, can you please take one from this team?
  13. Barnes does not look good
  14. This one might be the killer. Inexcuseable
  15. Seriously, wtf. Can’t help us at all, eh sox?
  16. That’s the issue. You need a pen to get them over the finish line and this pen isn’t good
  17. This pitching staff has allowed 2.7 runs per game. That includes UER. That is absolutely stellar. The fact that 3 times through and the worst pitcher thus far is Cole is incredible. The pen is dynamite with multiple multi-inning weapons. There's back end arms, front end arms and even arms we could string together and have a pen game using only 3-4 pitchers. The offense came together today. I still have my doubts about their long term sustainability vs good pitching. They K far too easily, which makes small ball or manufacturing almost impossible. I forsee a need to replace Gallo as the season wears on. He is getting the boo birds and it's almost automatic now when he gets 2 strikes.
  18. You are gonna find out tomorrow.
  19. Rotation could be a buzzsaw with Eovaldi-Sale-Whitlock-Houck as the 1-4. The problem is, none of them go deep into games and one of them (Houck) has an enormous split when he sees the lineup a third time through due to lack of a consistent third pitch. The pen put together this year almost has the feel of a "waiting for a few guys" kinda situation with the minors, but I don't think there is much relief coming.
  20. This isn’t Cora’s fault. Team isn’t hitting. Options to fill in the rotation with reliable starters come from the pen, which robs them of reliable relievers. Leads were handed to the pen the last two games and they couldn’t hold them
  21. Sox rely on their offense more than most. Scoring being down has hurt them disproportionately
  22. Bout f***ing time. Cole was dominant. Offense kicked ass.
