  1. I do a damn good job, I'll tell you that much. Not that you would know.
  2. there are reactionary posts, then there are your posts, which I find to be hilarious.
  3. You are giving me so much fodder for my sig, I am gonna have to be extremely selective with what I add now.
  4. Masterson has nothing right now. That changeup was a meatball. The two lefties hit the ball well. The two righties, one was a sac fly the other was an infield single.
  5. Masterson is lucky that ball stayed in the park. He missed his target by a foot up and over the plate
  6. Kottaras does not have a good arm
  7. I am just statistically showing how slowly the sox O is starting
  8. Ortiz, Lowell, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Drew, Varitek and Lowrie are all hitting under .200. Bay is hitting .250. The only offense the sox have is Youkilis. That will change. That being said, Lowell, Ortiz and Varitek starting out slowly could be a trend. We'll have to see
  9. The time you won your town the race We chaired you through the market-place; Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high. To-day, the road all runners come, Shoulder-high we bring you home, And set you at your threshold down, Townsman of a stiller town. Smart lad, to slip betimes away From fields were glory does not stay And early though the laurel grows It withers quicker than the rose. Eyes the shady night has shut Cannot see the record cut, And silence sounds no worse than cheers After earth has stopped the ears: Now you will not swell the rout Of lads that wore their honours out, Runners whom renown outran And the name died before the man. So set, before its echoes fade, The fleet foot on the sill of shade, And hold to the low lintel up The still-defended challenge-cup. And round that early-laurelled head Will flock to gaze the strengthless dead, And find unwithered on its curls The garland briefer than a girl's.
  10. My guess is that he will have an abysmal start to the yr, finish on fire, flub in the playoffs and end up with a decent line.
  11. Should be a good game. I actually have a night off to watch it.
  12. There was rumor circulating that Bruney was going to be the primary setup man out of ST. He looked dominant today. Maybe Marte is the 7th inning guy and the primary lefty specialist? I dunno. We'll see. Maybe Girardi is going with no specified roles aside from Mo in the 9th
  13. Your skin - - - Me Get it?
  14. Regardless, 7IP 3H 1ER 1BB 6K is a pretty dominant line, especially when one hit and one run were solely due to a dropped flyball that hit off the OFers glove on a ball that was lost in the sun
  15. Daeges reminds me of a player we have in our system, Chris Malec. A guy who plays pretty crappy D, but is listed as a utility guy capable of playing 2B, 1B, SS and 3B. But their offense is solid. Good average guys and fantastic eye guys (.291 career BA and .394 career OBP). Its difficult to really place them in a system. They both will likely end up as super utility guys like Catalanotto, whose major asset was offense or if either develop consistent power, a LF or RF.
  16. Pettitte looked vintage tonight. Sitting 88mph with the heater, hitting 91, and hitting the corner with everything. He was absolutely dominant. If not for a dropped popup in the sun, he'd have thrown 6 innings of shutout ball. He also noticed that the ump was giving about 6 inches off the corner consistently for both sides and he used it.
  17. HAIL THE ADMINISTRATION
  18. 200+IP per yr with a WHIP in the 1.4 range and ERA in the 4.2 range in the AL east is a #3.
  19. it is enough time to prep, but it isnt enough time to find a groove. A lot of players are slow starters
