  1. He was a fringe possible reliever, but this probably kills his career. He's old, he's not a high ceiling guy, and now he's dirty.
  2. And Minny beat the s*** out of us, man, how did that away series work out on the whole though? Yeah, you're right, the Yankees won the series
  3. I was quiet cause I'm in Hawaii. Talkboards are less fun than luaus
  4. yeah, who knows when he comes back and if he become effective. He's been a giant bag of suck thus far and has been injured. Good luck counting on him right now. Lester, continue to be bitter, I love it
  5. The progression of Daniel Bard and MDC's resurgence have made Okajima's fall from grace less noticeable. But he looks completely lost
  6. NY starting to make their move...
  7. Okajima is slipping down the pecking order
  8. Wake and DiceK leave 2 spots in the rotation up to doubt every game and with Lackey pitching like s***, the sox were due for a regression. When they get great starts out of Wake and DiceK (like they did over the last 8 games or so) then they will go on a run. When they dont, they'll be under .500. One thing is for sure, though. Lester is pitching like a Cy Young candidate. And Buchholz has done a pretty good job of limiting damage. All they need is one other pitcher to get hot and they'll consistently win. Otherwise, as is, they are gonna be a very streaky above average team.
  9. Good time to start hitting. We have CC, Burnett and Pettitte finishing out the series against Huff, Masterson and Talbot. We should take at least 3 of 4, but really all 4 of these games
  10. Cano steps on the throat. BOUT f***ING TIME!
  11. Hughes line 7IP 5H 2ER 1BB 8K. He did benefit from some good D, but looks like he's back. Aside from one inning, he was getting first pitch strikes and just dominated. Good showing. Now its up to Joba and Mo to hold a 2 run lead
  12. This offense is just f***ing priceless
  13. He played for concordia. We faced him twice in the regionals. Both regionals we lost our first meeting, then met on the last day needing to take 2 in a row to go to the CWS, and we did it both times. He was ridiculous, but we walked him almost all the time. They had two lefty pitchers who got drafted too, who were just filthy. But they couldnt close us out.
  14. Played against him in college. He was a f***ing beast.
  15. Hughes in lockdown mode again. Who would have thought, first pitch strikes equal outs. Edit: spoke too soon. Now he is missing with pitch #1 and they get a run. Seriously, Hughes, dont get cutter crazy, throw some strikes and good things will happen
  16. I forsee a battle of the bullpens which the sox should win
  17. Gotta love the guy. He's like a JD Drew lite. Little more power, little more durability, little less OBP, little less defense. Regardless, very valuable
  18. Dont worry, he'll have a heart attack soon.
  19. It is all about pain control. If he didnt re-break them, which is sounds like he didnt, then it is all about his comfort. Like I said initially, you have pain just breathing for 4 weeks +. Getting you to move around without pain is usually around the six week mark. Being ready for a big league schedule is probably much longer.
  20. You can do a rib block, but those only last about 8 hours
  21. Prior to 2004, hockey was the only sport that a 3-0 collapse occured in (twice at the time, now 3 times). It would be an epic collapse if the Celts lose this, and seeing as I like the celtics (albeit am admittedly only an NBA fan for the playoffs) I am a bit perturbed by their crappy play. The Magic are the better team, and when you have that team down on the floor, you gotta put the foot on the throat. Game 4 was the game that got away (akin to the 2004 ALCS). If the Celts lose game 6, this thing is over
