  1. Well, Yelich just went to the Marlins. s***
  2. I would love Zach Cox. Wojo is on the Yankee board pretty highly as well. But I am hearing that Yelich is their pick right now
  3. As a college draftee, sounds like the sox are aiming slot with their first pick. Hearing rumors that Ranaudo wont get past the sox in the supp round if he falls. They go slot in round 1, knowing they are going over slot in the supp round
  4. From what I am hearing from some of the scout.com guys, Ranaudo will likely fall into the supp round and is not a target for NY unless their top targets fall off the board in succession. Doesnt sound like NY wants to go with another injury project like Brackman
  5. Sounds like another Red Sox type player. Leader, great attitude, versatile, good approach. Sounds like he has good offensive projectability and might be an OFer when he comes to Boston. Will get some more info as it comes available
  6. It's better than nothing? Plus, I have a few sources I go to, but you are right. I have never seen these guys play. Regardless, here is the MLB.com SR
  7. 1st pick- Kolbrin Vitek- 2b out of Ball State. Sounds like he might be converted to OFer.
  8. Might be Ranaudo here.
  9. Sox on the clock. I dont mind at all. I want everyone to put their thoughts on this pick. It's your first pick, why not? I will give you the SR, name, position, and age.
  10. Skole had more to do with the fact that it was a compensation pick from not signing Purke last yr. Skole is a guy who will sign for slot, which the Rangers needed to keep an eye on. If they dont sign Skole, they lose that pick
  11. I am talking about the best player available when your pick comes about. Unless there is a tie on your board, you take best player. This is not the NFL or NBA draft where position is vital.
  12. You typically dont draft for need in the baseball draft, unless you are hopelessly stacked at one position and you are looking at a player who can only play that one position. Most teams select based on the best player available on their board. At the same time, there needs to be some strategy involved. The cubs just took a player who wasnt slated to go until the 3rd or 4th round. Unless they knew someone else was on him, they reached and missed a chance at another solid player at that slot.
  13. Josh Sale, great pick for the Rays. Great f***ing pick. They continue to draft high upside talent. That kid can hit
  14. Tried to surf. Damn near died. Just happy to be home
  15. Cubs reach by about 3 rounds. Small, lefty plus arm from DII. There has to be a draft strategy with these guys as well as picking the best player available.
  16. DiceK at 60 pitches almost through 5 innings? This must be one of those good Dice days
  17. The Rangers just made the safest signability pick of the draft. Speedy, leadoff hitter who will probably sign right away. They reached by about 1-2 rounds
  18. Yankee fans are calling you dumb too. It's like calling water wet
  19. Harper has less leverage than he thinks. By making himself draft eligible this early, it's pretty obvious that he has no intention of going to college after the draft. My guess is that Harper signs for $10 million.
  20. Who cares about a team that will not win a world series for another half century
  21. Watching Ranaudo fall even further. I dont see him falling past us at #32. Although Yelich looks good too
