  1. Yeah, this opens the door for Houston and Cincinnati to make a run, especially with Clemens coming back. Isn't Carpenter on the DL as well?
  2. Definitely not Riske as a setup man, even Foulke would be much better in that role.
  3. Nevermind, 5 games 4 runs, forgot about the Texas game earlier in the year.
  4. Riske hasn't been awful, he just hasn't pitched a lot. Not checking the stats, but from memory, hasn't he pitched in 3 games and allowed 1 run?
  5. Ease Delcarmen into the setup, don't stick him in yet. Foulke has to be the setup until Timlin comes back, then use Delcarmen in the 7th in tight games, and 8th or 9th in 3-4 run games.
  6. Oh whoops, nevermind, scratch that, I was just looking at hits.
  7. Tavarez's is 1.46 since May 1.
  8. Seanez's WHIP since May 1 is 0.916.
  9. But recently, Seanez has been better!
  10. More reliable than Tavarez though, by any stretch of the imagination. Take one out of the mix, and it would be Tavarez 7 days a week, and twice on Sunday.
  11. Again, Seanez has vastly improved lately.
  12. He left with an injury after being hit in the leg with a batted ball.
  13. Bonderman was looking awful in the 1st, but shaped up in the 2nd. We needed to get some more in the 1st, cause I think he's gonna keep improving.
  14. Orlando Hudson
  15. Oh yeah, I hate the FOX announcers too. Once Remy worked on FOX in a Sox game, that was awesome. Joe Buck sucks too.
  16. I just recently saw that the Saturday afternoon game next week will be on FOX, so Jon Lester gets center-stage if he goes.
  17. what happened in the game, anyway?
  18. Game Info: Time: 7:05 ET TV/Radio: NESN/WEEI 850 Park: Comerica Park Tim Wakefield (4-6, 4.07) http://espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/4906.jpg Jeremy Bonderman (5-4, 4.61) http://espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/7106.jpg Can momentum be generated by a momentous comeback? The Red Sox hope to get an affirmative answer Saturday night when they face the Tigers in the middle game of this three-game set. The Sox were down to out No. 27 and down by a run Friday night when Kevin Youkilis smashed a game-winning two-run shot for the visitors. "I don't know if it will set the tone," said Red Sox ace Curt Schilling. "We have to play [saturday]. That's a very, very good team over there." Knuckleballer Tim Wakefield will try to be as effective in shutting down the dangerous Tigers as Schilling was on Friday. Wakefield is coming off perhaps his strongest outing of the year, as he went eight shutout innings for a win over the Rays on Sunday. The Red Sox are 2-2 on this 10-game road trip. After these next two against the Tigers, Boston will finish this journey with a four-game series at Yankee Stadium. Pitching matchup BOS: RHP Tim Wakefield (4-5, 4.07 ERA) In his career against the Tigers, Wakefield is 13-8 with a 4.43 ERA. Over six starts in May, Wakefield went 3-2 with a 4.20 ERA. DET: RHP Jeremy Bonderman (5-4, 4.61 ERA) Bonderman allowed eight singles over 7 1/3 innings against the Yankees on Memorial Day, but those hits led to four runs in a 4-0 loss, dropping him to 1-4 at Comerica Park this season. He's 2-4 with a 6.25 ERA in six career starts against the Red Sox. Player to watch Center fielder Coco Crisp has produced at least one hit in his first 10 games in a Boston uniform.
  19. My TV room is painted the color of the Monstah.
  20. Which game is Pauley pitching? Becuase if it is last or first, can't we push him over so someone else goes?
  21. When's the draft?
  22. is the draft on monday or tuesday?
