    Zito is a #2 pitcher on a good team, a #1 on a mediocre team. I don't call him an ace, a guy like Pedro or Santana is an ace. I agree dustin, if I was Beane, I would have dealt him for Milledge and maybe milk another low-level prospect. In the winter, I would not go after him for the big bucks, this guy may be worth $8 million per year, but nothing more than $10, that's ridiculous.

Youkilis singles to left, Loretta scores Varitek singles to right, Ortiz scores Lowell doubles to left, Youkilis scores. Now that would be awesome too.

    1st one a sliding catch by Hairston, actually a good play 2nd one Matthews went back on it, made an unnecesary jump then crashed into the wall a couple seconds after he caught it. You know, for style points.

    Another intresting stat, the Red Sox, typically known for not stealing have the 5th most in the AL, and 10th most in MLB, even without Coco Crisp for most of the year.

    Random and probably not worthy of discussion, but Scott Proctor blew his 4th save of the year last night, allowing 3 runs in an inning of work in the 6th. It is the 9th blown save of the year for the Yankees, tied for 5th in MLB, while the Red Sox have 2 blown saves, the least in MLB.

    Yeah, if I was the Yankees, hitting would not be my main concern. Sure injuries have plagued them, but they still have a Top 10 offense. The pitching is something that needs to be addressed for the Yankees.

    IMO, Carlos Lee is the most underrated player in baseball. He is a consistent run-producer, always has 25-30 homers, 90-100 RBI. But I do agree, I would rather the Yankees get him than a Willis or Zito.
