  1. Hmmm, a literary student might think there is symbolism in the bolded comment above, i.e. your words are worth s***. But looking closer, seems you've actually chosen "Sienna" as your hue of choice. Thienna..it'ths a wuvwy cowor.
  2. Wow, things keep going this way and we may see Yankee fans start talking begin lamenting (again) over Cash and Co. NOT making the Santana deal a couple years back.
  3. I'd say that the game you're referrign to did impact the decision the league made. I also think that this was their effort to try and make sure that this series doesn't totally deteriorate. I believe that if the league looked at the last seconds of game 1 they were probably pretty disgusted with Montreal's antics but found it hard to say conclusively tha ta suspension should be rendered, i.e.: -Lapierre really only bumped Kessel after the ENG, it wasn't anything viciuos. -The Kostopolous elbow at Hunwick missed...tough to suspend for a missed elbow. -The Komisarek face rub/gouge/punches were part of a melee, and Hunwick was giving it back as well. I DO think this means a fairly short leash for Canadien players...if they take liberties they make be more likely to be punished, wither through on-ice means (PPs) or league review. In a way, this could all backfire on the Habs if they fall behind tonight and start they're usual crap.
  4. The Bruins will move Wheeler up to the third line and Bitz enters on the 4th line. In terms of scoring ability, Wheeler is ahead of Lucic...if Wheels plays physically, at least at the outset, and gets the Habs D-men thinking, he'll be very effective. Now, if the B's pull out a win tonight, without Lucic? The Habs will be completely demoralized AND the Bruins will be that much more confident of the depth that they possess. Hell, they've lost Hunwick but still have a very good d-man in Ference getting healthy...this team is deep, boys.
  5. That's not exactly going out on a limb. McGwire's name shouldn't even be mentioned in this thread. Aaron, Mays, Manny, Pujols, Foxx, Hornsby absolutely are in the discussion. DiMaggio? Not so sure, as Crunch said, put him in another city and his status goes down. ARod..in my mind he's closer than some give him credit for, but he's not in the group above, lack of clutch being one reason. I'm still shaking my head over Juan Gon and McGwire.
  6. And I got banned from the Habs board for saying that the Canadiens played a good game but their actions at the end of the game were despicable. When I posted in the B's board that I had gotten banned and said the moderator was overly sensitive, they warned me for attacking a mod.
  7. Posted this when Grady came up the FIRST time with bases juiced...eventually got the hoped for right result, but in the wrong AB.
  8. The Yanks are in a 1-1 game headed to the bottom of the 6th inning in a mid-April game...IMO the fat bastard did his job.
  9. Hmmm...the first GS at the new stadium would be nice right here.
  10. jake: I recommend a Beck's Dark while watching the Bruins-Canadiens game tonight. BS21: whatever...but hopefully you get my point, for an "older" woman she's hot and more worthy of "intrigue" than a sweaty man in catcher's equipment.
  11. Wait...there are moderators in this forum?
  12. I really like Alyssa Milano. She intrigues me as a 40-something woman with good tits and ass.
  13. Don't sell them short. I think the Habs have a reasonable chance...I know I'm quite nervous about the series.
  14. Yeah, Kilo, you fkn thread killer.
  15. Yeah, but he's like 2 for 6, that's .333, we need to extend this guy right away.
  16. The team has won two titles this decade, they've indicated they can't compete with the Yanks for EVERY free agent, they've stated that they can go for it something like 6 or 7 of every 10 years, but that they know there will be seasons where they take a step back for the LT health of the organization. This may be one of those years...certainly the relatively low-cost moves they DID make this offseason allow them that latitude. Relax...if you're looking for a wire to wire victory every year, you're expectations are unrealistic. Let it play out...if the season progresses and they're in contention, but have some holes, THEN they should seek to fill them. To react NOW could be very dangerous. It could turn out that, because of diminishing performances (i.e. Ortiz, Matsu, etc.) and injury, that this team may simply not be good enough to contend this year...you can't start making radical moves that cost the team long-term but which still don't get you much in the way of results.
  17. I don't follow...he informed the team on Sunday. It's now Tuesday. Who should have done what sooner? If you mean Lowrie himself, then yes, it was stupid not to say something when the discomfort started.
  18. Sox suck right now. I suspect that'll change. Let's let it play out.
  19. Over on HFBOARDS.com there are some very overconfident Bruins fans in the B's forum...and some equally overconfident Canadien fans in the Habs forum. It's actually pretty funny to read the Habs threads, a lot of them are about B's FANS...not the games to come.
  20. I really thought I was in trouble there, then things just worked out in my favor. Lot of fun this season and it was cool to get ot know a lot of upcoming talent I never had heard of before.
  21. B's in 6 Caps in 5 Carolina in 7 Flyers in 6 Sharks in 6 Red Wings in 5 Canucks in 6 Flames in 6
  22. Over on HFBOARDS.COM the Habs fans were ripping the Bruins for their dirty play. Wan't it "Hammerlick" who cross-schecked Recchi when he was on the ice? Or Gorges who plowed Bergeron into the goal after Bergie scored? They were the instigators...unfortunately the B's couldn't keep their cool otherwise I don't think Montreal comes back to take a lead. A first round match-up vs Montreal is far from a sure win, at least it has the potential to be an extremeley brutally contested series.
  23. The Canadiens style of play once they fell behind was very calculated. They sought to get under the B's skins and draw penalties and it worked. If they are the Bruins 1st round opponent, they'll try the same thing, and the B's, from Chara and Lucic all the way down, had better take a hit and not retaliate or else we're in trouble. The Canadiens season hinges on their power play and the play of Price.
