  1. Did you shave them first?
  2. He's having a tough year, no doubt, but I don't think anyone is "pining" for him. He was good last year and he was solid (solid in #4 starter terms) with the Sox up to the time of the trade. Personally I've maintained that AT THE TIME OF THE TRADE, the move was poor...an innings eating, 180k, 15-12 kinda guy for a 4th OF who can't hit a major league curveball to save his life. While Arroyo's results this year make the deal look "less bad" I don't think WMP has done anything to influence a change in heart about that trade.
  3. "Suck on your 'end' "? That's disgusting, Jacko, keep your fantasies to yourself.
  4. Saito giving a teammate a champagne enema...foreplay to a Pacific Rim-job, no doubt. http://dodgers.topbuzz.com/dodger-pics/d/177-1/saito-celebrate-25699121.jpg
  5. Lasorda, to add to your slag heap definition in the link above, A slag heap is a pile built of accumulated tailings, which are by-products of mining. These waste materials are mostly composed of shale, as well as smaller quantities of carboniferous sandstone and various other residues. Perhaps what he really meant is that LA is a "shithole". While that characterization more aptly applies to Oakland, I don't think LA is all that far behind.
  6. true, who gives a rat's ass about Mr. Miyagi, at least in this thread.
  7. "Watson played 35 major league games in 2005 and '06, batting .176." I guess the above is part of the reason he's in the minors.
  8. I hope you don't mind that I completed your statement.
  9. Great sentence structure and grammar you have there, sir.
  10. Zito looks like a younger George Michael...fkn caulksucker
  11. Dude, I don't recall overconfidence being an issue in this forum when the Sox were up 14.5. In fact what I do specifically remember is that the more respected and objective posters here were saying not to count the Yankees out...ever. I think your comments are misplaced and represent the vast minority, not the majority.
  12. I know...right now pitchers are going right after him cuz he blows.
  13. OK, here we go...here comes the "all the adversity" crap. In my eyes, it's really a case of some fans giving up too early on their team....ya know "Ye of little faith?" Then there are most Sox fans who were saying all along that the Yankees would right the ship, get on a roll and contend.
  14. Well, let's just say he'd get good pitches...hitting them is an entirely different story.
  15. Someone else start the game-day thread tomorrow. My 1 game winning streak appears to be over.
  16. Castigs...have a s***** time, hope it rains. Kidding of course. Happy Birthday bud.
  17. It's the Big Schill vs. The Fogg------- Schilling (6-2) vs. Josh Fogg (1-5) The look of a winner.... http://survivinggrady.com/capt.bxf.jpg vs. the look of a guy totally in a Fog(g)... http://www.pittsburghlive.com/photos/2005-06-23/0623sfogg-a.jpg Schilling comes in off a sparkling start last time out...he's money, baby. Fogg, meanwhile, drifts into town sporting a 1-5 record, 5.06 ERA, and a K/BB ratio of 37/23...having given up 72 hits in 58 games (that's 11 hits per 9). Let's clear the skies early, boys, and drive the Fogg outta town.
  18. The Ks per IP are even more ridiculous. And he only throws in the low-90's?
  19. Fkn A, Sean. These guys are priviledged beyond their own recognition.
