  1. Holy s*** you know you're a terrible, terrible poster when Jacko becomes the voice of reason in a thread you start.
  2. I'm with YH, just need a reminder and I will be on for the draft.
  3. Congrats to the Yankees. Looking forward to the third Sox/Yanks ALCS this decade (it will be epic).
  4. Erm, it's the bottom of the 6th now.
  5. He took Santana out after 5.
  6. He also took Santana out way to early in Game 4.
  7. Yeah, that's what I meant.
  8. They really didn't hit the ball all that hard though. He only walked one, and struck out more than a batter an inning. 12 hits isn't great but there are a lot of positives to take out of this game, far more than any negatives.
  9. They won game 1 and had game 2 in their sights.
  10. He's also never done a damn thing when it mattered most. He choked away series against the NYY in 2004 and Oakland in 2006.
  11. See, it's not as good of a fit for the reasons I spoke of earlier.
  12. Name three better. I'd say Scoscia and Leyland. I think he's better than Maddon and Gardenhire.
  13. You could make the case he's top 3.
  14. I'd rather they play to win.
  15. I think he's a top 5 manager in the AL. I think Dojji would agree, and I think you would as well.
  16. Why, exactly? I fail to see the difference between him pitching in game 2 v game 3.
  17. Not with Buckles pitching.
  18. When 8/12 hits are on the ground? Yes.
  19. On the surface, you'd think it's lunacy, but the fact is the only pitcher who is going to start more than one game in this series is the #1 starter, who should be LEster based on the body of work this season. The Sox are going to need four starters regardless of the matchups and I think Lester should get the call, if needed, for games 1 and 5. edit - Of course, if the Angels choose the series in which only three starters are needed, then you pitch Beckett in game 2.
  20. Find that quote. I'd like to see it. Now who's antagonizing who, Dipre? Francona shits the bed sometimes. Not a lot. Sometimes. I agree with Dojji that his mistakes don't occur any more often than any other manager in the game. We notice them more because we pay more attention to his in-game moves. No other reason.
  21. How's this for an off the wall suggestion? Start Beckett. In Game 3. It's become pretty clear that Beckett, for whatever reason, only feels that he can be successful when pitching to Jason Varitek. Also, for whatever reason, Josh Beckett has been a far superior pitcher in Fenway Park this season. If you have to start Varitek, then you should do it in an environment where putting his bat in the lineup reduces the negative overall effect on the lineup. Also, if the Angels line up their rotation the way I expect them to, they will do it Lackey-Weaver-Kazmir-Saunders. Pitching Beckett 3rd allows them to pitch him in an environment where he is most comfortable, to his preferred catcher, and the offense does not take as big of a hit with Tek in there against a lefty.
  22. LOL Not. Even. f***ing. Close.
