  1. I agree that the WBC probably threw him off (as well as tek). I am sure he will take time to get it right and then be back and ready to go. I believe his effectivness will be fine, but may take a few "non-pressure" innings to get him feeling right again. Timlin has been on this schedule for a long time (he is 40) so the WBC threw his body off a little--fear not he'll be back!
  2. Well we gave him a shot with a 5 run lead and look what happened,,,he may be relegated to blow out roles. (which is what yesterday felt like before the 9th)
  3. Now everyone is cringing!
  4. I think they are saying it's "dead arm"...although i have heard a few different things. He should be fine after his DL stint. Foulke can keep it together as long as he keeps his head in the game and there is no reason to believe that paps will have a problem---let's just not overuse him!

  6. He's not so far this year!
  7. It's debatable because you are a yanks fan! A-Rod's stats will be there because of days like yesterday when it's a blowout and he rips 2 HR's off the royals:rolleyes: Meanwhile when it counts he's a brick at the plate and in the field. Not to mention the facts that E-rod was expected to have great numbers--and he's trending down now-----------------while lowell was considered a "throw-in" for beckett and is trending up. We'll see what happens in the next month!
  8. He's fine for now, but I too, would rather have Kapler back and healthy!
  9. What's going on NEM, not watching the game???? Just giving you a hard time:D
  10. You won't like tommorow then!
  11. No he didn't say that (at least not in Terry's Take) He said that we had a lot of guys unavailable today and we couldn't throw strikes.
  12. Just saw another angle of the last play and Gathright was at 3rd when harris was in his throwing motion--i don't know if the 3rd base coach waved him or not--but if he did he should be out of a job because it wasn't close! Ohh and how appropriate that Bonds hits #715 off of BK Kim and the knucklehead fan drops the ball down where he can't get it---so security got it!
  13. Wake said tito asked him if he wanted to stay in. I don't know what wake said (someone at the door) but it sounded like his call!
  14. Hopefully Shillingouttheks stayed for the whole game and can give us an "in person" account of what it was like there during the 9th!
  15. I agree about not sending wake out--i mean a 5-0 lead against the rays:rolleyes: Seanez should be ejected tommorow from the team. I would give Tavarez another chance, but not a long leash. After watching the 9th again--i must say that the play by harris was amazing. His speed got him in the right spot charging the ball on an angle and still throws a strong strike to belli in time for belli to brace himself. (he did a good job deflecting gathright instead of getting run into) Tavarez and Seanez should go and give Harris their paychecks from today becuase he earned them. What was more amazing (or sad) was the fact that that last play was the first hit of the 9th inning (9 batters to the plate) Welcome to boston willie harris---i think you botched some catchable balls recently, but when it mattered you came up huge. (not bad at the plate either)
  16. I am off to rewind and watch the last 15 minutes of the game just because it all seems like a blur! Ohh and I still think one of the biggest plays of the game was the snag by youk in the 9th---if he misses it then it's a ty game easy!
  17. I agree with the pap statement---such an MVP! However that passball was a tough pitch in the dirt (down and in to a lefty) to handle! He should have blocked it but still real tough!
  18. If this is our bullpen without Foulke, Timlin, and Paps then we are in trouble!
  19. That was a GREAT throw by harris--it made the play not close. It was a stike to belli in plenty of time! Play of the game for sure!
  20. Get out the brooms, the rays are done! Great series with a great performance by Wake today when it was needed! (almost ruined by the asshat bullpen) Also a great job today by Harris and Gonzo at the bottom of a reworked linup! Ohh and welcome back Coco:D
  21. Belli had the ball and the runner was only half way to the plate----they gave up that out! Dumbass 3rd base coach--but i will take it!
  22. Well harris should be the MVP today besides wake!
  23. both strike calls thus far have been gifts!
