That was a great AB by gonzo--mabey the best of his sox career...and another stellar play by your 2006 "all-star" 3rd baseman! Kay finally said something that made me laugh--on the pitch to gonzo he says "proctor wanted that and 55,000 umpires wanted it as well" Oops, i am a few minutes behind real time on the DVR:D

I hope he does and the next time he says something Tek says something like "ok, i will let you if you stop shaking me off and throw the pitches i call for one game"!

Sorry my computer or the website kept screwing up--what i meant to say was: That pitch to JD was right down the middle and he hit it off the pole. I am surprised there was no curtain call---mabey their was and YES didn't show it!

Great, we have wright on the ropes making him throw a lot of pitches and captain DP comes up and ruins it---and then right off the bat we're even after one batter! And of course the toilet is playing "johnny be good"

Let's not forget that clement is our #4 starter. We still need a #5 unless Pauley continues his "dominance":D Clement has the stuff and hopefully he can pull it together, but we need him to pull it together so we don't have to rely on 2 unknowns down the stretch! That's a lot of pressure to put on "kids"!

I love soccer---def my favorite sport growing up (that and baseball--but in HS soccer was better) My daughter (our 1st child) first kicked during the last world cup---so i know i have a soccer player on my hands--and she already loves playing with her "dora the explorer" soccerball!!!! anyway i think that if the USA get's out of their group then they can do some damage and go deep--but getting out of their group is going to be very tough. They have to go through Italy, Ch Republic, and Ghana (they can either be great or suck) just to get out of their group---and that's a tough draw! I think that a lot of people don't even realize that the WC has been going on for a while now and this is just the WC Final coming up---the USA had to do a lot just to qualify for it. With that said if i had to pick a winner this time around I would have to go with Italy. They always seem to peak whenever the WC comes around no matter how they are playing leading up to it!

Ya, I saw them talking about it on PTI. Just ESPN trying to gain the interest of the american public for the world cup!

I don't know why all the fuss about the rotation--from the looks of the weath ( www.weather.com) it doesn't look like we will be getting a game in until sunday! There is pretty much a 100% chance of rain tommorow in NY and Fri and Sat in Boston!

-Arod should not be starting at 3B, ---correct -Cano should not be starting at 2B, ---duh, mabey the dumbest vote yet -Ortiz should not be starting at 1B, ---as much as i like tizzle, Youk is more deserving, not to mention that Tizzle has only started 2 games at 1st -Tek should not be starting at C, ---no one with a .238 average should be here; if this was the case then gonzo should be starting because nobody has played better D so far -Damon should not be starting at CF ---correct, but he's not far off

My wife is really good about the sox. She grew up in Virginia and didn't follow sports at all until we met--now she's stuck:D Everything is usually smooth, but then there are nights like last night when manram got robbed to top off a "perfect night:rolleyes: " I chucked the remote (not far though:) ) and she just looked at me and told me i needed to calm down!!! What truly sucks is that Pauley had the 1st great outing of his MLB career, in Yankee Stadium, against the yankers, and we couldn't put up more than one run.

He said it's the best swing of his career, not the best HR! I didn't see it but my wife's uncle (big yanker fan:wetodd: ) was there and it sounded like a long blast!

Trot's doing fine numbers wise this year---he just shouldn't be hitting in the #5 spot! I would put lowell there.
