I understand all the nitpicking with tito. I was right where wondering why he let Mohr finish the game off for us. However I guess i am just a results based person, I can get upset and question everymove tito makes---but at the end of the day he gets the results. Since he's gotten here we won it all in a way that we won't ever forget--then last year we made the playoffs despite not having our ace or closer (amoung other things). And as i mentioned before, he has more info than we do------so why it may look stupid to us, it may make complete sense if we have all the info!

If it were just about the end of his career and this year i think he would come to the sox. However that's not the case and after this year is over he will still be active with the astros in a "non-player" type way. For that reason i find it hard to believe that he will leave them for anyone! I hope i am wrong though!

Well said. No manager is ever going to please everyone. Tito may make mistakes in peoples eyes but it's hard to argue with the results that he gets overall. Sometimes i think people don't realize that he has more info to make decisions than we as fans do!

I wouldn't. Zito is a shell of his former self and you also have to remember we will be dealing with bean---so he will want way too much! Just not gonna happen!

Geez where to begin with Clement. It's obvious that he has something wrong physically (his leg) and mentally (getting hit). After he got hit tonight he fell apart, he was even ducking on some pitches after they were hit. Whether the sox or he can admit it or not, he has problems and his leg will heal----but i am not so sure about his head! Mentally it looks like he's lost! Really sad too becuase he has good stuff!

I dont' know how he could be cleared to play (as they said) and still be sitting on the bench in the 9th while mohr bats to end the game. He could have been the tying run--so i think there is more to this story!

I know it's frustrating, but cora has played great in the field and at the plate these last 2 games!

Ok so paps doesn't have a cutter:rolleyes: The bottom line is he has given up 1 run this year in a "non-save" situation. Doesn't really matter that he doesn't have that "cutter" if he gets the results! How did the yanks do tonight against him?? He could have that one "great" pitch, but if he doen't get the job done no one cares!

Let's try and put this in context: Clemens threw in at manram but that's not what made manram flail away. What made him flail away was the adrenalin/endorphins pumping through him because of what ensued after Clemens did that. After all that happened manram was asked to go and bat and he was ready to punch someone---it showed. A lot of people have "buzzed" manram before and it doesn't seem to bother him. Guys like manram and papi thrive on the pressure of the game and will succeed in that. ( i said in the game setting, not a street fight) Pitching inside is part of the game, headhunting is not so we'll see what happens if they choose to do one or the other. If you buzz papi i don't think it will bother him other than pissing him off---but if you do watch out because jeter will be earholed the next ab. Better choose a night when beckett isn't pitching or jeter's head may come off!

good news on coco---let's let him get healthy 100% though before he comes back! As far as a-rod (and i am not piling on) goes--it's just quite simple. He is a great baseball player who plays well when he is comfortable, this is human! Other people (which are rare) are able to remain comfortable in tense situations and still perform their best (tizzle for example) Bad analogy but i will use it: in college my wife was the type of person who studied a little every day so she would be ready for a test and could get a good nights sleep before it. I was they type who would wait until the last minute and then get ready for it and do about the same---this drove her nuts! My wife would just get real nervous if she wasn't in a situatin she could control whereas i just adapted to the situation. (and no i am not comparing myself to an mlb player) Bad analogy i know, but that's just how people are----everyone can perform their God given talent when they are comfortable,,,it's just a matter of staying comfotable when the tension is up---and as everyone has commented lately, e-rod has been pressing real hard of late!
