True, it just seems that his good games are against teams that suck with hitters with no plate dicipline--and then he faces a good linup and gets killed! He has the talent, he just needs to learn to drop his ego some and pitch!

I agree there is reason for optimism---however that only happens if Beckett get's his head out of his butt and pays attention to the more knowledgeable guys around him. If he keeps this "i can do it myself" mentality then he's in for a lot of short nights!

I hope lester does a good job on saturday as well! However if we are going anywhere this year beckett needs to pitch well for us. I think the main problem with beckett is that he is too stubborn--he needs to take some advice from nip, shill, ect... becuase he is the kind of guy that says "i've got my own style" ect.... howver he needs to remember that this isn't FLORIDA! mabey getting his ass handed to him is what he needs to listen to some people!

No joke! I would have left Beckett in there now that the game is over (barring hell freezing over) Now thanks to beckett crapping the bed we blow out our bullpen for the rest of the series. The game was over--leave beckett in there until he reaches his pitchcount!

So much for that theory---that 1-2 pitch to JD was right down the middle---evey the YES guys were surprised. This could be a really frustrating game if this trend continues!

ESPN just said that E-rod was the player of the month for may. How is that possible? There have been a lot better players out there in may!

I give the yanks all the credit in the world---my problem (or annoyance isn't with them) it's with the "unbiased" ESPN going so far out of their way to ballwash the yanks! The yanks deserve credit for what they have done, but it's not like other teams don't deal with injury!

Geez, i flipped on the 6pm sportscenter to see if they had anything useful about the game tonight (nothing of course). However the yank ballwashing has been taken to a new all-time high. The "yanks are so hurt, yet they are still the best" rants have gotten out of hand---this is acutally getting on par with the manning/dolts ballwashing:rolleyes: It's easier to listen to YES now than it is ESPN!

apparently there was a lineup out earlier today had jeter in it, then they came out with this linup later on with him scratched. I would imagine it's not that bad and he'll play tommorow.
