  1. Why does everyone seem to pick the A's to win the AL this year? Everywhere i turn (both locally and nationally) everyone is picking the A's. I know they have a good staff this year but their O is suspect at best---and last time i checked everytime they actually make the playoffs, they choke!
  2. Saturday's home run was the first time this spring that i have seen his bat look fast. Let's hope this trend continues for the next 7 months:D
  3. :wtf: what? :wtf:
  4.
  5. Ya I had the "deer in the headlight" look until I read the end!
  6. Well this sucks! The game was blacked out on NESN for me, saying it was not available in my area. :wtf: Of course it wasn't on any other channels and YES worked if i wanted to watch the yanks-arizona:rant:
  7. I don't usually post BDD stuff, but this was interesting:
  8. Or that his knees were giving him problems!
  9. Good News indeed!
  10. That's great news; let's give the kid some time before we call him up. I know everyone has been jumping on the hansen bandwagon, but let's not forget that at this time last year he was in college! Ohh and how did we get on the infield defense subject--i mean last time i checked the yanks still have Giambi playing first:lol:
  11. Well SI picked the chisox to repeat this year; so they are screwed!
  12. Let's also not forget the fact that in addition to his baseball world falling apart last year---his personal life did as well. He has said in interviews this spring how it was crazy last year, but now all that is behind him and he is focussed. As far as shill goes, he has consistantly been around 95 with his fastball---so i will wait and see what's going to happen,,,but i'm not worried as much this year!
  13. SI is wrong every year--they also said the sox would miss the playoffs! Shill is strong and is not going to the pen. Foulke will stay focussed all year--the question is whether or not those injections will help his knees hold up. Paps will be in the rotation sometime during the season. My biggest question mark is the fatman's health---for some reason i don't see him finishing up this year------either being traded or DL!
  14. He seems to want to get it taken care of and we all know that we are going to do it---so let's get it done already!
  15. Thanks for the update. The worst part for me actually (and yes chicago, ect.. annonners suck) is when the sox play baltimore; (home or away) because i am local for baltimore and they get all the coverage. The problem is half the time they don't show the game on the baltimore channels (whether it's comcast or a local channel) and NESN is blacked out so i can't see the game at all.
  16. Good article on Graff leaving town; http://www.courant.com/sports/baseball/hc-redsox0329.artmar29,0,3727754.story?coll=hc-headlines-baseball a couple of quotes:
  17. On paper and in theory i agree with you-----we'll see if you are right in about 5 months!
  18. That's the understatement of the day:D
  19. Everyone looks good so far throughout the spring, except for the fatman. As i have said a lot here; i would be happy to dropkick the fatman and put paps in the rotation.
  20. You will be missed Tony--a guy who loved playing here and he was always a class act!
  21. Ya it must be becuase i am out of town. My parents and all my friends back home don't have this problem. Still sucks to shell out the cash and have to watch some lousy announcers!
  22. Hope hanley does well, although he's still real young! I know we needed to do this trade, but i wish we could have done it without giving up hanley! I just have that feeling that we are going to regret losing him!
  23. We are all here becuase we have an opinon, and yes you can voice yours! I would advise to just be a little more specific next time in your analysis. and the didn't help you case at all! (and those were just from the 1st page of the thread) All is good though, and opening day is just around the corner!
  24. Shill Wake Beckett Wells Clement! Thats my guess!
  25. Anyone know where this clip could be online becuase i can't find it anywhere. Really interested in what really happened. From the Tavarez interview, he said that he stepped on his leg by accident and was trying to move it off when Gathright pushed his leg and jumped up------Tav thought he was going to come at him so he landed the "pre-emptive" blow!
