Melo and AI form an almost impossible combination together. I was originally hard on the Nuggets but this trade put them over the top. If AI can harness his passing skills and become a dangerous PG, Carmelo will thrive off of his play. With J.R and Melo on the wings and Camby and Nene (if healthy), AI will have numerous options unlike his team back in Philly. When Melo comes back, I truly expect this Denver team to make a run in the West.
Billy King, on the other hand, is looking like an incompetent dope right about now. Over the summer, he had the oppurtunity to acquire Carlos Boozer, Gerald Green, and the #7 overall pick for AI. Instead, he now ends up with Miller, Smith, and 2 1st rounders. Granted, I don't think anyone expected Boozer to have to such a huge season thusfar but King still has to be upset with the decision. If Philly gets Oden in June, there's a good chance that 76ers fan will soon forget about Iverson but if the ping pong balls bounce the wrong way, like I previously stated, the city of Philadelphia will run King out of town.
