  1. I'd really like to see where I'm "selling him a bit short". I have nothing but praise and optimism for both players and they both look like they have the ability and potential to be dominant players in the NBA.
  2. I agree that Durant has an outstanding overall game and that he could potentially help make this a team with the ability to go deep into the playoffs, I just think that a dominant center has a bigger impact in the game of basketball (especially when we have Pierce and Jefferson) than a dominant hybrid SF-PF.
  3. WTF? "He's done growing"....OK.....he's 7'1'', 280 pounds and he's only 19. I guarantee he'll get stronger, more agile, and become an overall better athlete in the coming years. Hakeem Olujuwan was 7'0'', 255 pounds. Dikembe Mutombo was 7'2'', 260 pounds. Alonzo Mourning is 6'10'', 260 pounds. David Robinson was 7'1'', 250 pounds..Duncan...6'11'' 260 pounds. The point is that not every dominant game changing center has to be 7'6'' like Yao or a Tank like Shaq to have a legendary career at the center position in the NBA. One of the more appealing parts about Oden is his size and strength and to use his size against him is ridiculous.
  4. Because the fact that he looks like he's 40 really makes a difference and it really held back Bill Russell from being a legendary force in the NBA...
  5. Amen.
  6. Shortstop and CF.
  7. At least Peyton Manning put up considerable stats for the MVP award because even if he threw 6 picks and had a passer rating of -20, you knew he was gona win it anyway.
  8. 2 things that I'm glad to say I won't be hearing for a while: -The "feel good" New Orleans Saints story (Overplayed..Doesn't bring back the lives of the people who actually lost their lives in the tragedy and it doesn't rebuild the houses that were destroyed). -The story of African American coaches in the SB (It's a nice little fact but the media acted like it was the first man on the moon. They also kept talking about how it gives hope to kids who say "Maybe I can do that too"...Nobody dreams of being an NFL head coach...nobody).
  9. Dungy deserves it and as much as I hate to say it...so does Manning. They've always been a few inches away for the past 5 years and they finally made it so hats off to them and hopefully we can kick their ass next year.
  10. They're both ridiculous and the Celtics would be incredibly fortunate to get either one but Oden probably has a better chance at being a dominant force in the NBA. Since when are you a Celtics fan, Ksushi?
  11. Young wayne up in this thang the boy get money like the summer get rain Reggie Wayne goes insane on the Bears secondary and the Colts win in a landslide, (however I have to root for the underdog bears).
  12. I said dream of a 17th banner. It wouldn't make us instant contenders but it'd definitely put us in a better position than we are now.
  13. Arguments aside, the fact is that either Durant or Oden would instantly give drastic help to the Celtics and we'd be lucky to get either one of them. On one hand, Durant is going out there every night and dominating in every aspect of the game while Oden is also dominating with one hand. Things will be much more clear a few months from now when A. The NCAA season/tournament is finished B. The lottery is decided C. Durant and/or Oden declare for the NBA Draft. A frontcourt of Pierce/Jefferson/Oden or Pierce/Durant/Jefferson is enough to make a Celtics fan dream of a 17th banner. Also, hopefully with an early 2nd rounder we can pick up a decent guard or maybe solve that problem in free agency. Telfair hasn't lived up to his potential or anywhere near it, at that, and we can only be optimistic about a successful return of Tony Allen and his athleticism. The bottom line is the more we lose this season, the better we are next season.
  14. Wow, I was at the game last night. It's pathetic that there was an MVP chant for A LAKER in Boston in the 4th quarter...just sad.
  15. I'm related to Vic Wertz (the guy who hit the famous Willy Mays catch).
  16. Linda, just go away, nobody cares.
  17. Very entertaining game. Should be an interesting superbowl with one of the best offenses against one of the best defenses.
  18. LOGAN MANKINS, YOU STUD.
  19. I really hope Dwayne Jarett slips.
  20. Also I deleted many pro-Pats posts I made since opening day to go with the story.
  21. Yeah, I had to change that to go along with my story...it said pats before that.
  22. I don't hate them, I just don't care for them just like any other team aside from the pats.
  23. Yeah, that's the way it is...except the Patriots don't spend the money and win so go figure.
  24. Don't doubt Belichick and Brady in the playoffs...please let last week be a lesson to you. Belichick knows how to get into Manning's head and Marvin is looking as vulnerable as ever. Addai will be a cakewalk compared to last week's challenge in LT, and their defense is looking better than it really is because of the decent offenses they've played.
