  1. Is it gonna be on yahoo?
  2. I'll take the under.
  3. :wtf:
  4. Am I the only one who noticed that the Raptors...yeah...the TORONTO RAPTORS have won 5 games in a row and have a 3.5 game lead over the Nets for 1st place in the Atlantic...wow. Imagine them getting the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference.
  5. I just hope we get one of them, Oden or Durant. I'd definitely be beyond happy if that happened.
  6. Exactly I understand that, but he's using that against Oden saying that he won't get any bigger when that really isn't an issue. The man is 7'1'', 280 pounds.
  7. Say what you want but all three of them were better than Cassell and Horry in the Houston days.
  8. The bottom line is that Greg Oden is the black jesus and hopefully he's our starting Center next November.
  9. Yeah, I agree with that. My point is that IT DOESN'T MATTER. THE GUY IS 7'1'' 280 POUNDS. That's kinda big if you haven't noticed and it's definitely an advantage for Oden.
  10. The argument is retarded and really has nothing to do with anything. I'm just trying to say that a dominant center like Hakeem Olajuwon wins championships.
  11. He's played with Tom Gugliotta (20/9) in Garnett's rookie season, Chauncey Billups, Wally Szczerbiak, Stephon Marbury (who flirted with 20/10 assists for a couple years), Terrell Brandon (used to be a good guard), Ricky Davis, and Sam Cassell (the same one you said he'd die to play for) when he was averaging 19 points and 7 assists rather than his 6 and 3 with Olajuwon's Rockets. So to say that Garnett would kill to play alongside players like Robert Horry and Sam Cassell is wrong.
  12. Weak, Garnett is playing with two other 13+ point scorers this season alone with Ricky Davis (16 PPG) and Mark Blount (13.5 PPG).
  13. This is great. We actually have a direction now. Last season, we were bad and the lottery watch was active throughout the whole second half, however there was still a slim possibility of making the playoffs which sucked. This year, I had a bad feeling that it was going to be a repeat but this is the best option other than winning it all, in my opinion.
  14. You can't pass on him...unless Oden's still on the board.
  15. Just shut up, I completely agree with what See Red said about Durant because he actually knows what he's talking about. You don't know what you're talking about and you make minor points that are true but don't mean anything and then just argue about them when they don't make a difference.
  16. OK..great, and your point is still irrelevant because even if he remained 7'1'', 280 pounds, then he still could be a force and a massive presence down low. I just don't see how the point that you're attempting to make relates to anything. Size is on Oden's size and obvioulsy he's not going to grow another 5 inches but his size is good for the NBA right now so your point is nonexistant.
  17. Exactly, they both have the potential to be incredible talents but the effect of a dominant center in the sport of basketball is something that leads to wins and with the right circumstances in place, leads to championships. In that sense, Oden is a more appealing option than Durant.
  18. Let's take a look at the world champion 1993-94 Houston Rockets roster, shall we? Name Jersey Pos Height Weight Age College HAKEEM OLAJUWON 34 Center 6-11 250 30 Houston, 1984 OTIS THORPE 33 Power Forward 6-10 248 31 Providence, 1984 VERNON MAXWELL 11 Shooting Guard 6-4 190 28 Florida, 1988 KENNY SMITH 30 Point Guard 6-3 170 28 North Carolina, 1987 CHRIS JENT 21 Guard 6-7 220 24 Ohio State, 1992 ROBERT HORRY 25 Forward 6-10 230 23 Alabama, 1992 MARIO ELIE 17 Guard/Forward 6-5 225 29 American International, 1985 SAM CASSELL 10 Point Guard 6-3 185 23 Florida State, 1993 SCOTT BROOKS 1 Point Guard 5-11 165 28 UC-Irvine, 1987 CARL HERRERA 7 Power Forward 6-9 225 26 Houston, 1990 LARRY ROBINSON 20 Shooting Guard 6-3 180 25 Centenary, 1990 MATT BULLARD 50 Forward 6-10 228 26 Iowa, 1990 RICHARD PETRUSKA 3 Center 6-10 230 24 UCLA, 1993 EARL CURETON 35 Forward/Center 6-9 215 36 Detroit, Robert Morris, 1980 ERIC RILEY 42 Center 6-11 240 23 Michigan, 1993 So let's see, it looks to me like after Olajuwon, who averaged 27 and 12 that year, there was no other star, but instead many role players who came together to win it all.
  19. OK, first of all the fact that you would take Garnett over Olajuwon is irrelevant because Oden isn't an Olajuwon clone and Durant isn't a Garnett clone. You can't just base your opinion off of that...and also how many championships has Olajuwon won compared to Garnett?
  20. One more thing, please don't argue with me about the Celtics unless your name is yankshater213, because I doubt any one of you (excluding yankshater) have passionately followed this team since the glory days of vitaly potapenko, nervous pervis ellison, and dana barros and that includes going to numerous blowouts this season without losing hope and watching just about every painful minute of Celtics Basketball this season. Nobody wants this team to succeed more than the real diehards, not the ones who are suddenly jumping on the bandwagon because they hear names like Oden and Durant.
