  1. ya crespo does minnesota is trying to give us johan santana for pena but theo is holding out for liriano too i see you put together some interesting stats for pena that make him look palatable.. problem with crespo's math is its cherry picked from a different time and place and holds absolutley no merit in the real world. i suppose if i select the proper games i can make jd drew look like a wise investment as well jd drew..... that jd drew is money too but thats another stupid argument i will avoid today... problem we have is reality and the rest of the leagues ability to deal in it. 223 .388 48 103 14 23 40 5 0 4 11 10 40 0 1 3 despite little caesars creative math this is the reality 103abs 40ks 4hrs and 11rbi while hitting .223,up from last weeks .218 so you tell me what does this get you for trade material?? i'll be serious i suppose you could package him with a young arm instead of one of the younger outfielders that the rest of the league are eyeballing? perhaps a team that is willing to give him an unconditional shot at achieving?? contending teams wont take him in the nl cause he's a f***ing disaster in the field al teams contending already have their softball players in place,i dont see anyone in contention looking at this guy seriously. perhaps kc or a tampa bay type of team that needs young cheap guys and arent concerned with winning would take him. theres no argument about his power rick lancelotti type power for sure... im done with wmp i hope he goes on a tear so we can use him in right field, the **** currently patroling right is ovulating this week so look for him to be on the pine for the weekend...
  2. id say this makes him more valuable if the sox or say the mets are willing to move front line prospects then it makes sense that this guy is secured for the future if your minny or milwaukee that may slow you down but the large market teams would consider this a better option
  3. are you here to discuss the validity of jd drew or to discuss baseball or just bad business deals?? with jason schmidt and juan pierre on the l.a books the glass house and stones theory comes into play here... we sit 10 up in the al east with our troubles the dodgers got shut out in arizona last nite and are looking up at 2 teams in the nl west.. frank mccourt paying juan pierre that sick money started this s*** the cubs then got involved and the sox followed, rather foolishly but they followed none the less... we're ok here our problems dont come close to the dodgers problems
  4. i have enjoyed watching this man fail this year almost as much as i enjoyed the sox success. the real yankee fans i work with knew this was a disaster in the making the posers who call themselves yankee fans(the guy who says arod is the best centerfielder hes ever seen)are confused as they were told he would be another aaron small or bobby boog a loo chacon,a man who would go 10-0 and lead them to victory. last nite wasnt really his fault his team quit pretty much the day they announced his signing
  5. jesus jump into a lake of piss?? ahhhhh the golden stream i.p dailys finest work outside of the great russian tragedy ivana bitchakockoff
  6. nice catch by proctor reminds me a lot of the corner back from kansas state we drafted, chris canty hed give up 25 yards on 3rd and 24 then do his f***ing dance after he knocks the guy out of bounds....proctor making that nice catch then doing his LOOK ME MOM as the guys on base got back was hillarious.....then he walks the next 2 guys i cant wait to open the ny papers this morning
  7. this guy may be the final nail in the coffin for the rest of the league i dont know what williams asked for 4-4 with a 3.33 era? isnt bad for that bandbox or this league the beauty of all this as was stated before is we are in the big boy chair,we have the muscle and the prospects and the money there will be more fur flying out of chicago this summer should get interesting over in the bronx
  8. 7 lobs last nite in a 1 run game? nice this guy is just pathetic
  9. anyone else think that arroyo wouldve won last nites game?? kason gabbards 1st inning may have been the most disgraceful effort of the year but then jd drew left 7 f***ing runners on base in a 1 run game to trump the 3bbs and hbp that gabbard gave us in the 1st... last year the deal was made as our pitching staff resembled walter reed medical center and we still held 1st place for 3 months. what you saw last nite happened every 5 days last year do you not remember this?? 10. ******** they'll have similar #s this season how good were the wolves with garnett this year?? we can still suck without paying garnett, dumping our best young player while perhaps going from 30wins to a .500 record in the meantime. the need to start from scratch is there a .500 record for 10 more years isnt what this franchise needs at this point
  11. crespo do shiny things distract you when youre on the bus to the potato chip factory?? pena plays full time MLB when my grandmother grows a fingernail on her cock. as of last nite 101abs 4hrs 11rbi .218 39ks at least he didnt K right?? that double play he blasted really showed me some raw material that we should be harvesting.. f*** the speed f*** the defense we got wily mo pena who's ripping it up and has sam horn type power. awesome really f***ing splendid how many more of these guys are out there that we can get for a 200ip pitcher??
  12. 5+ era and he hasnt seen the american league yet has he? pitt colorado who else?? the mighty giants?? f***ing disgraceful what clemens and the hendrix brothers did to cashman and steinberger is illegal in most southern states and i believe it still warrants death in georgia pure sodomy
  13. come next year we will be paying 10M for shortstops who dont play here a slump is one thing this guy has sucked since tampa traded him last summer nobody had a worse 2nd half than julio lugo did last year epsteins failure here, center and right have been disguised by an outstanding pitching staff and some tremendous production from our corners and the 3/4 hitters crisp appears to be coming on a bit,i think hes found a bit of confidence and hes starting to drive the ball again drews obp is .350 and hitting 247 and slugging 387 the obp i can live with, the other 2 #s are simply atrocious for the guy who was to protect manny, that said i think if he can keep his head in the game and his ass on the field he will be more respectable in the 2nd half lugo?? hitless since 6/15,outperformed at every level by each of the 1/2 dozen shortstops that theo let walk or dealt and all are making less than lugo.. again this hideous move is masked behind a tremendous staff and some other guys really stepping up of the 3 this guy is the least likely to get it together and his slump is now pushing a year
  14. beavers back to back outstanding effort did i read somewhere that they were never behind the entire tourney??
  15. gone for the year he threw a lot of innings last year and may indeed been overworked as he went deeper than he ever had in his career. too bad you hate to see pitchers get arm trouble at a young age
  16. i hate the dodgers and would welcome some of their crew here it would be like beating an invalid without the punishment or the moral outrage the dodgers fan base is still stronger in brooklyn than in la county the only weaker minded fan base is in wrigley and i havent seen too many cubbie fans since they were busing balls over the nomar trade back in july 04 that lasted about a week and they disappeared like dried up dog s*** sad to see j schmidt lost for the season eh?? here was a guy i coveted for years because of his durability and power 4 starts in dodger blue and hes toast that must be a drag for the dodger crew
  17. puerto rico plays by itself in the olympics and in international events and they belong to us well theyre on the payroll thats for sure isnt guadalupe an island in the carib near martinique? they compete against us?? 300.000,000 americans 35,000,000 swam here and played soccer like we played baseball and we cant field a world class soccer team despite the game being featured and promoted and played by our youth for 30 years... hockey on the other hand is now as american as it is anything i remember jim jensen from the 76 team commenting on how he was called an american faggot and was the only yank on his team now boston is as fertile as quebec for recruiting players
  18. as a captain you carry a responsibility to your team can you imagine what went thru the guys minds when they were told sorry no colored allowed?? campy was 20-25 years prior this was the mid 70s as far as his latin and black teamates went there werent all that many to comment he was yawkeys boy he got dick williams s*** canned and as you said was introverted and a guy who kept to himself which is fine but doesnt bode well in the leadership area do you think tek would say ""see ya at the park""if petey or ortiz or manny were barred from a club because of race?? i dont know but id like to think hed be behind his guys the sox owners were the biggest donors and philanthropists in the game they invented the jimmy fund and raised millions it doesnt change his 1855 south carolina mentality however yaz was yaz and as you pointed out a guy who kept to himself and played the game like it should be played but......
  19. cliff version sure i think drew needs to play thru the tweaks and show us and his teamates hes here to win above and beyond anything
  20. tell him i was asking for his crusty ass i miss the vocabulary lessons id get daily that prick is one of about 3 who can level my karma in less than 10 words usually
  21. they just compared the 3 starters for the rox and yanks this week yanks 3 55M per era of 6.61 rox 3 8.5M per era of 1.81? i believe money will give you a shot to win every year but it dont guarantee s***
  22. WARNING ESSAY TO FOLLOW self respect and pride drive these guys to become superstars at the local level where they also have more natural talent than anyone in their county usually success becomes addictive and then a way of life the best pitchers who make AA ball say are generally stud hitters and all around great athletes in hischool. anyways you can put forth a great effort yet still be a lousy teamate if that makes sense consider our man wade boggs a guy who worked his way to the majors late in his 20s and forced us to dump the al batting champ carney lansford to make room for him youd think that a career minor leaguer would be humble and a good clubhouse guy.. he was a lousy fielder when he broke in,he was very good when he left boggs wasnt liked by the team and i got this from lou gorman at the big and tall store in framingham in 1987. he demanded a scoring change in one of clemens starts at the end of the year(90-91?) reversing an error and giving the guy a hit that move i believe cost clem the era title boggs it was said couldve hit 30hrs a year but he wouldnt sacrifice his avg to hit for more power even if it helped the club. for the record boggs was bawling like he lost his mother in the dugout in 86 after game 7 he did care but his attitude said otherwise pete rose was a selfish ********** the reds used to pool the player of the game monies awarded and donate the cash to charity at the end of the year rose ended that,he said im the player of the game 3 times a week f*** you guys as a rookie he was hated and when he finished 25 years later he was still hated now these guys any team in baseball would take in a heartbeat hallof famers and superstars all the way *******s as well and not good teamates sometimes i wonder if the superstar *******s are worth it ask the patriots how they feel about individualism or how much of it they require. a good football analogy is dan marino the best arm and talent ive ever seen and a great competitor who hated losing ever see how he looks at his left tackle after he got sacked?? or at his wideout who didnt come up with the ball?? that isnt leadership as much as it is being a f***ing jerk marino went 15 year getting sacked less than any other qb but won nothing after his superbowl loss in 85 to joe montana joe montana got knocked unconsious in giants stadium, broke his f***ing back and then led the 49ers to titles in 89-90 with 2 of the best teams in history the #s say marino was the better but those of us who watched think otherwise (joe had a better team for sure) let me tread on hallowed ground here yaz was the captain of the sox and THE man here for 20+ years. he got gms and managers canned, players moved and it was his team spring training time the guys would drink at the winter haven elks club they refused entrance to tommy harper and i think maybe joe foy? or reggie smith??because they were black, this wasnt in the 50s this was 73-74?? (it wasnt george scott,no one would get that close to him) now yaz shouldve walked out and wrote that place off as captain yaz never did a thing or call out the elks or go elsewhere or make these black guys accepted,he did nothing and as the captain that was disgraceful the sox ownership was as f***ing bigoted as lester maddoz or george wallace ever thought of being so it was ok and it was hushed up till the press got hold of it and even then no one called out yawkey when he was alive if it was a cursed team it was on tom yawkey he auditioned willie mays and jackie robinson i believe?? 15 years later he signed pumpsie green,an amos look alike if there ever was sorry about the novel i got a lot to say about this subject i want jd drew to throw a bat at the next pitcher who brushes manny back i want him to break up 2ble plays with cleats high and i want him to play every day you dont have to be a showman with the emotions but smile or scowl or show that youre not a cyborg but a guy who wants to win.... its a team game and the commitment must be shown consistantly i feel if drew bats 265 and shows courage commitment and a desire to win we'll accept him here if he leaves each game he gets a bruise it will be 4 years of hell for all
  23. the rox impressed the s*** out of me this month
  24. everything hurts this guy how does he walks into the dugout and makes eye contact with schillng and say?? i may have strained my quad but im not sure?? my hammy felt a twinge i better sit?? nfl guys who had great track careers, usually wide outs, often had these types of nagging injuries but thats a different mindset and a different arena whiile bryan cox takes 2 tylenol and plays a week after a 12 inch rod was inserted in his fibia reynaldo nehimiah would sit with a bruised calf and james jett couldnt go because of a strained hammy.....track mentality dictates you need to be 100% becuase 1/100th of a second is your career..... did drew run track?? every ass ache or twinge shelves this guy just last month he missed the yanks series becuase of some similar pain i dont get it he has to know of his rep in the business and how boston fans were skittish when he signed i would think he would bust his balls and play thru this type of s*** just for the sake of his rep and to win over the new city which owns him for 40 more months
