  1. bannister is 4-0 with a sub 1 era in day games dice should eat this lineup for lunch i also think detroit is going to smoke batista this afternoon MLB [912] DET TIGERS -185 [Action] May 22 MLB [916] BOS RED SOX -200 [Action] Risking 50 USD To Win 65 USD f*** it my bosses are gone for the day,i may as well take advantage of their absence the over under on the sox game this afternoon is a skinny 8.5 which is a # usually reserved for a pedro/mussina game back in the days when they could pitch 8.5 is giving this guy from kc a lot of respect
  2. it should be entertaining hockey the #1 team in the east proved to be a fraud i thought the washington team was better than philly but philly was better suited for playoff hockey the wings on the other hand have been in relative cruise control since they sat hasek for osgood, nobody has put any sustained pressure on detroits goalie,if pitt and specifically crosby can get some power plays and pressure osgood in the process, they may have a pop..
  3. theyre in the botton 1/2 of the a/l in pitching stats, not that i put a lot of credence in these#s. the yanks are 5-4 in 1 run games,11-12 against the al east,7-11 against the floundering al central and 3-0 against the west. its fairly consistant anyway you word it. what this move does in my opinion is open up trade talks for the untouchable phil hughes and the underachieving ian kennedy...it also lets these kids know that in ny you're only as good as your last start and the concept of working out the kinks and taking the lumps with the youngsters is fantasy. i wonder how much this move was influenced by lester and lowries efforts or the sox starting pitching in general? i will again say that the ny yankees are rudderless, theyre being run by reactionary douchebags who could f*** up a wetdream and i have 35 years of watching the steinbrenners do just that... they need to keep the fredo brothers out of the mix and give brian cashman a chance to do what he planned on doing...they didnt get santana because they wanted to build for the future, making joba chamberlain a starter on may 22nd isnt a sound baseball decision and it goes against everything cashman has said in the press up till last weekend. this is an order from steinbrenner after watching the sox kids shine this week and nothing will convince me otherwise.
  4. this chamberlain move reeks of panic and is influenced by the steinbergs embarrasment. the idea of moving him into the starters role is solid in theory but in practice it shouldve been done in march not may. hopefully he doesnt hurt himself when he attacks farsnworth after ole kyle f***s up a few of his starts...why is this guy still counted on anyways? he's been a blister on every team he's pitched for and inspite of decent #s the yankees are the only place he's been able to hang his hat for a few years. this move should help ny long term but in the now it reeks of desperation.
  5. sox are balanced speed, power, good baserunning, clutchhitting and now we got another arm out there imagine 100ip of 3.5 era from this giabrone? perhaps a pivotal spot in the rotation come october?? he looks as if he ate rich garces but he should be better as he gets into shape if he dont get into shape he wont be anything more than a 5ip guy and remember before we start jacking each other off over this was KC,a team that is unraveling offensively and they left a few guys on early...
  6. billups was eaten up by rondo rip hamilton disappeared as he can do from time to time rasheed wallace was ineffective, another 6'11 behemoth playing the perimeter game. tashon prince? the celts match up pretty good with these guys, the pistons lack something this year,a combo of inside presence and toughness,i do love mcdyess but he's been reduced to a part time player and wont be able to bang with perkins and garnett all night long. detroit needs this one tonight,so do we should be fun
  7. the gift that keeps giving is jacko you have to appreciate his courage, tenacity and ability to be wrong so very often. i just wish i had those november-december 2004 predictions in front of me 1 of which indicated carl pavano would win 24 and randy johnson 30 and jarret wright 20? priceless s***
  8. outside the begining of 05 the man has had nothing, nothing remotely effective christ in his comeback last year he got tuned up against the pirates
  9. rajon rondo beat up chauncey billups last night lets hope the most improved player in the league can handle another 7 game set. i hope beyond hope that they can squeeze out the next home game and 1 in auburn hills. i dont want another 7 game series as these guys will be gassed if thats the case
  10. how sweet is it that we got 5 guys under 27 who are signed for long term deals and are pitching lights out now... its f***ing valhalla for sox fans and the dessert is the fact that the yankee cant miss prospects are pitching like old people f***.
  11. From a diehard Yankee fan yesterday. A pall has been cast over the Bronx...... -----Original Message----- From: Michael S. To: Hammond, Andrew Sent: Tue May 20 14:15:01 2008 Subject: Lester I'll take Lester and you can have Farnsworth, Hawkins, Hughes, Kennedy, that kid playing third base, Shelley Duncan, and we'll throw in Bobby Abreu. there's some people who are desperate here
  12. as i have said 100 times this year, the a.l east is going to be a s*** fight because all 5 teams are capable of winning a 3 game series and the idea of anyone of these teams playing .750 ball for 6 weeks is a fantasy. ny just doesnt have the pitching and their roster is full of aging corner men and outfielders, some of which cant do anything defensively anymore. when darryl rasner has a pivotal role in the rotation you got issues. ny had been blessed recently by remarkable late season efforts by the likes of shawn chacon and aaron small, mussina this year pitched about as well as he's had since 03,hes not capable of sustaining this performance...its all up to the kids and they havent shown theyre good enough to handle the gig assigned to them at this point. theres 3/4 of a season left and lots of time to right the ship in the bronx but honestly, who really thinks they're good enough to contend for the division? if they make the wild card i'd be surprised..
  13. the yankee front office has been the biggest abortion since gene michael left steinberger surrounds himself with asswipes, douchebags and assorted other yes men. when the season ends he looks east, wonders what the sox need and who finished with the best stats in pitching and offense, then opens his checkbook. they havent made a sound move since they traded roberto""bobby""kelly for paul oneil.
  14. 130 pitches on a frosty may evening wont do this kid any favors but this was a once in a lifetime moment and it couldnt have happened to someone more deserving where are phil hughes and ian kennedy this afternoon? apologizing to fredo steinbrenner i assume
  15. i thought he retired after 05? there are met fans who insist i am right
  16. breathtaking my senile mother in law s*** herself after he whiffed the last batter in the 9th she was so excited... what can you say about this kid?? i got 2 words yankees suck
  17. i like the wings i think the west is miles ahead of the east but if theres a team in the east with a pop? its this pitt team
  18. colon pummeling? i think i have that on dvd
  19. ya i had 70/70/70 on his and it paid........49.00 my wife had the horse who placed for 10 10 10 and she cleared 140.00. want to come up for the race lynda? i think my sister in law is in west virginia that weekend and me and chris are going in with my tribe....you must own 1 of those cool hats i see the daughters of kentucky wear dont you?
  20. id rather be on the little blue short bus with the 159th street yankee posse than sit with mets fans in any situation. as much as i despise the yankees and am indifferent towards the mets i find the yankee fans 10000xs more genuine than the seinfeld types who like the mets. you dont hear s*** about met fans until the yankees are worse or the mets are in 1st place in this building i work in i got 1 legit mets fan who has liked them since casey stengel was their coach and was a dodger fan till they moved to los angeles. he knows who rusty staub and jon matlack are he doesnt root for the yankees when the mets suck he is legit the others are prone to be obnoxious **********s
  21. i wonder if the authoir hung his fiancee out the 4th story window after she laffed at his tears after game 6 in shea. thats the 11th kind of sox fan the capable of homicide if they lose sox fan
  22. they and nobody for that matter in the al east is going to be able to run a 25-5 stretch due to the balance in the east tampa and toronto are pitching very well and the sox beat you in a dozen different ways baltimore is scrappy but they do suck. if not for some heroics by mike mussina this team would be 10 out why was giambi hitting against a lefty last nite? oliver perez?? bwahahahahahaha
  23. colon being stretched out.... given the chance to pitch here or get grabbed up by a suck team via the waiver wire i think he'll take his chances in boston money shouldnt be an issue for this guy unless he too likes the dice table at steve wynns place
  24. ray allen will be the difference this evening if we can get 14 out of him within the offensive plan we're going to win tonight if he continues his claude rains routine then we come back sunday
  25. its also about image in the bronx think the old man isnt calling out fredo and the other bloated pink skinned f*** bag? looking up at the sox for the past 14 months is hard for them but looking up at toronto tampa and the woeful orioles is another level of anxiety. steinbrenner demands the back pages of the ny tabloids be his domain if he is aware of whats going on he maybe ready for a nervous breakdown
