    cashman had a great season getting lidle abreau and wilson on the cheap he is a figurehead but as someone else said,hes getting more powerful each day has anyone underachieved more than joe torre over the last 5 seasons?? 1billion in payroll and they have the ALDS PARTICIPANT banner to show their fans if he fails this season look for them both to be unemployed by november 1st in torres case maybe by memorial day

    youk got off to a fabulous start after the break he wilted and it was painful to watch he is a good ball player,played better d than i thought he would too hes ok not great never will be either but i dont think he disappointed anyone we need more power from our infield,no question about it

    joe jackson got a lifetime ban for cheating despite hitting .406 based on what ive seen for stats in the 1919 world series. have the feds decided to take up an investigation here based on the cards winning the world series with arguably the worst team to do so in my lifetime?? theres a few guys in detroit that should be banned from baseball just for embarassing themselves,their city(if thats possible) and the american league in general. 5 errors from the pitching staff?? a 250 foot fly ball goes over the left fielders head with 2 out in the 8th? granderson simply falls down?? my god detroit was pitiful and it was rather painfull to watch a team that lit up ny and oakland lay down like a 5.00 bronx whore the nite before rents due..

    Look, I know you can't resist the urge to apply a nice spit shine to Cashman's testicular region, but be real about it. He opened a can of worms with Sheff, and his statements about ARod are patent company line when this type of situation occurs. s***, Manny asks to get traded twice a year, but you don't see anyone here donning knee pads when Theo says "We'll try to accomodate that request, but a move will have to be in the best interests of the club." sheff would look pretty good with manny and papi however the guy is cancer,pure cancer and who wouldve figured seeing as he comes from the same blood lines as the great doc gooden i admire his skills but hes a pure unadulterated **********

    mustve been before the season started fsu and va tech are having unusually bad years but this clemson club was supposed to be the s*** they are good that saturday bc beat them was one of the best college games ive ever seen and the following week they went double ot to beat a very game byu team that has a great qb and despite playing in a weaker conference i feel that theyre a pretty good team and they ended tcu's nation longest winning streak byu is undefeated in conference play i think its the southern schools that hold bias against boston school and of course being the son of a legend would give clemson a boost in the coaches poll... tonites a big game they got va tech on the road if clemson handles them i suspect they have a top 8*10 ranking come sunday nite dont matter bc has their own destiny in their hands win out and play in a newyears game worth millions lose a couple and they play on a blue field or in some obscure s*** hole backwater game in elpaso sanfrancisco or detroit. bc should run the rack

    the 73 mets went 83-79? and won the pennant but got beat by the a's in the series the nl west winner went 82-80 ?? last year no one i can think of won it all with a record like this years cardinals

    and buffalo comes to newton highlands on saturday to play bc as a 38 point underdog i dont really like their chances bc?? 6-1,beating clemson vtech and a decent byu team at home and beating florida state on the road which doesnt happen all that often in the acc and still they get no respect nationally why would they be ranked that far below clemson especially since they beat them?? that loss against nc state is looming larger and larger but if they win out and they should then they'll be playing for the acc championship game in atlanta come early december sure the acc is down this year but seeing them go into tallahassee and physically handle the behemoth seminoles was a huge victory and these guys are very young obrien recruits well i dont like a lot of his moves but he does indeed recruit well

    Then FINALLY something goes right. They start their 3rd string QB, and have a passing game for the first time all year.. They are up 38-3 with 9:00 left in the 3rd quarter, and FINALLY something is going right.. Then it all comes crashing down... Not to mention they also hold the D-1 record for most consecutive losses.. Arguably the worst program in D-1 history... hard to disagree however temple still plays d*1 football as long as theyre playing football they hold the title as worst team in american sports

    have you gotten over this yet 26?? whats worse watching the tigers win 7 in a row against ny and oakland or watching corey lidle trying to navigate a small airplane down fdr drive or watching the cards and mets pitching staffs battling for the pennant?? to me baseball takes the biggest hit watching the 2 frauds in the national league struggle with each other

    i read in a ny rag that they may indeed pick up sheffs option so he doesnt come to boston as i said all of this is pure speculation at this point and as far as mccourt in los angeles goes?? hes got some internal monetary issues hes neglected that go far beyond the signing of alphonse soriano and may involve him needing to bail out of the dodgers situation his boston real estate market was shall we say a bit overestimated and hes getting his ass handed to him from what the inside people say in the banking industry.

    does he play 3rd for 17.5M per year after they deal arod to anaheim? who else is going to pay that kind of coin if indeed he turned down what the senators offered him?? the dodgers?? maybe houston?? they let beltran go who is a better all around player if you ask me anaheim?? this may be the most obvious choice,unless they get involved in the arod stakes in which case you may see a robby cano packaged just to get the cancer known as arod off the yanks roster in a deal for some young pitching and bullpen help sure the yankees are full of outfielders and sheff has an option on the table too i believe?? why would that stop them it didnt stop them from getting abreau despite having all the above (i know matsui and sheff were hurt) and money isnt a problem for them losing as an odds on favorite year in and out is their problem and they may hit 300M just to ensure no one else can compete with them next year of course soriano may be staying in dc who knows for sure?

    im wondering which of the 2 hansen or delcarmen will make the most impact come april mdc doesnt have the gas that hansen brings but he does appear more confident and effective no one disputes hansens gifts at this point but i think mdc is a better option at this time
