  1. i wonder if theres anyway we could swing a Cordero and Sanatana for Manny deal out of that 3-way. That would be an awesome return.
  2. get this man a Sox-Uni! ive wanted him from the beginning and I havent heard anything but encouraging about him.
  3. and possibly a lot more depending on a manny deal lol
  4. yay foulkes might be back! and im being serious I think hes going to have a big rebound year as our set-up man
  5. hes a SS converted to OF, but is said to have very good range as a SS.
  6. they most certainly would not deal Ichiro
  7. putz/soriano, sexson and jones/betancourt, would be interesting, idk if SEA would do it though then sign Drew and trade Lowell leaves us with: 1. Youkilis 3B 2. Crisp CF 3. Ortiz DH 4. Sexson 1B 5. Drew RF 6. Pena LF 7. Varitek C 8. Jones SS 9. Pedroia 2B Bullpen of CL Putz Set-up ? MR Okajima MR Timlin MR Delcarmen MR Tavarez
  8. carpenter, whos a proven ace just got 13mil per, how does that effect Matsuzaka?
  9. anychance the M's would do a Putz, Soriano and Jones/Betancourt/Clement for Manny deal or is that pushing it?
  10. couldnt agree more, we'd be selling ourselves way short on that one.
  11. I like the idea of getting Gagne.
  12. I think he'll hit a little better than last year, probaly a .750 OPS, but his days of .850+ OPS are probaly over. Hes still extremely valuable to this team though
  13. really small sample size for him as a SS last year, only 162 innings, made 2 errors. translates to around 18 over a full season
  14. and the cap is now raised to 149 mil
  15. I personally still think Coco will rebound and be the .300/.350/.470/.820 player that we invisioned him to be when he came over.
  16. most id part with is tavarez
  17. If Drew is healthy hes a better player, obviously thats a big if, but presumably hes coming in healthy and he'll do some damage. If hes given 550-600 ABs than he could probaly hit over 110 RBI, more than 100 runs scored, more than 100 walks, higher OBP than Damon, higher SLG%, and depending which Damon plays, he could post a significantly higher OPS along with a couple more HRs. Damon will steal more bases and score a few more runs though. Drew is a 133 OPS+ career hitter, Damon only wishes he could do that, and his best season is a 120 OPS+ (last year). Both players field their positions well. Its tough to compare a leadoff hitter to middle of the order hitter, but saying Damon is much better than Drew is laughable in itself because if Drew can be an offensive force.
  18. dude you just averaged his numbers together from a year where he more than half the season.
  19. thats not true, hes pretty effective vs. RHP.
  20. he doesnt know wtf hes talking about
