    Andrew Jones would be a huge pickup. This team lacks a power hitter in the 5 hole and Andrew Jones would fill that hole and then some. Ortiz/Manny/Jones would incredible.

    Crisp/Hansen, maybe. Jones is a sick CF, great defense and bat. Lester I wouldnt deal for Jones straight up.

    the Orioles would never do that, they have an offer for two cot controlled players in Santana and Aybar which we probaly couldnt match without trading one of our MLB young pitchers.

    Loretta is like 14.5 VORP, Lugo is 32.7, its not even close, Lugo is a massive upgrade over Loretta.

    thats exactly what i was thinking, but the loretta in a deal for Linebrink would be bigger I think, to expand to 3-4 teams maybe.

    if anything out of the turned down deal, it shows Crisp isnt being dangled for junky rentals (Beuhrle is struggling but its not like hes an aging #4)

    thanks Its kind of a tempting deal, Beuhrle is kind of like Beckett, highly inflated ERA from a couple bad starts, unfortunately 3 of those starts have come during this stretch where he has struggled , but Crisp is struggling too

    I guess it really depends on who we could get in return. Redman, Lidle, etc. are not going to cut it, if we are trading a 26yr old, relatively cheap CF then the return better be pretty dam good.
