  1. Okay, okay, let me rephrase. Tampa owned the Yankees in 2005.
  2. Well, I reaaaallllyy don't want to trade Lester. Maybe we could work something out...like Delcarmen and Brandon Moss?:dunno:
  3. Are you kidding me? Tampa owns the Yankees.
  4. Wait, did you mean they would be below .500.... EDIT: Well, yeah, maybe middle of the road was the wrong wording, they would be a below average team. I don't think they'd be last place, but they would be under .500....
  5. Yeah, I do. The Lakers are just 3 games above .500 right now WITH Kobe.
  6. It would be classic if we traded Wells to the Mets for Floyd or someone pretty good and then Wells retired because he wanted to play on the west coast.
  7. I know you're a Sox fan, I was just playing...
  8. Replace Kobe with a decent shooting guard, say...umm...let's say Larry Hughes. Now the Lakers would probably be about a middle of the road team. Everyone says Kobe has no one but he does have a decent supporting cast, they just never get the ball. Odom can play. Parker can play. Now replace Iverson with..oh, say...Jason Terry, and the Sixers would be among the worst teams in the league. Iverson can put up huge points - maybe not 81, but a consistent 30 and has hit up to 60 before - and still spread the ball around a little. He can even play a little D. Iverson is my MVP.
  9. Are you a Devil Rays fan?
  10. Rivernator going with the Yanks was really surprising to me.
  11. So far all the Sox fans predicted the Sox to win the division and all the Yankee fans predicted the Yanks to win
  12. Yeah! Papi owns whatever punkass DH they throw out there.
  13. Rememer, it's most VALUABLE player, not most valuable scorer. What would the Sixers be without Allen Iverson...
  14. Rivernator, Clement and/or Wells has a decent chance of being traded, and since Clement had a crap second half after getting hit with the line drive, that boosts the team ERA and ER and everything else. We are most likely going to have Papelbon in the rotation, and he will be great. Also, you did not do the bullpen, in which this year we are obviously superior to you ( don't even bother to do the stats from last year, we're better THIS year, everywhere but closer and we have much more depth). Glass Carl always gets hurt, and your two best pitchers are a combined 79 years of age. Wang has the shoulder injury. So next time take stuff like that into consideration before you deem the Yanks pitching better than ours. Oh, and I was not surprised one bit when I saw your projected standings.
  15. True, but we thought Damon would never do this...
  16. Okay, what would you guys do if Derek Jeter took 12 extra million and signed with the Sox after saying he would never play for the Sox?
  17. Nonono...I meant, if those guys were Yankees and not Sox, you'd be saying Lowell is going to bounce back, and you'd say 2nd, short, and third were upgrades.
  18. I'm pretty sure if that were a Yankee team, we'd be looking at upgrades at 2nd, 3rd and short. Just my opinion...
  19. Like he needs the money. Whatever, I'm not going to whine. I'd rather have a young, cheap Crisp just coming into his prime than an old, overpaid Damon exiting his prime.
  20. Oh, right, he needed to put food on the table.
  21. If we had signed Damon to a 4 year, 52 million dollar deal, people would complain about that, and we would be in a worse situation than we are now.
  22. I was just passing along information...
  23. Rent didn't carry his weight, or at least not for the size of his contract...
