    they are both good players. lee might be easier to acquire than abreu but abreu fits the red sox in alot of ways. i would take either in a second because they are both upgrades from trot even though i still like trot.

    id say the yankees prospects are more than 2-3 yrs away. most of the decent ones are not even in high A ball yet. their farm system is not in very good shape.

    BC should stop scheduling a shitload of cupcakes at the beginning of the season to show that they really are that good. instead of loading up on the holy cross's, stony brooks, savanah states they need to play better teams in order for people to take them seriously. duke is a great team but had this game been at duke frankly BC would have gotten whipped. i like BC but they never can take that next step.

    BC played the best game they could have played and still came up short on a night when Duke did not look good at all. you have to at least give BC some credit for being in this game and making it entertaining.

    i am shocked that BC is in this game. Duke has taken the last 10 minutes off. BC is now showing the old Big East toughness.

    BC is playing right into Duke's hands....instead of slowing it down and taking duke out of their game they are trying to run with Duke. bad idea. unless they adjust they are cooked.

    i will gain respect for them when they stop playing bums like raef and scalabrine and give bigger minutes to the young guys. i want them to take their lumps so they will be better for it

    the red sox will still have a solid offense along with a much improved defense and a better bullpen. this should lead to success in 2006.

    i don't believe he had another offer on the table because frankly it would have made it to the media.

    he got 2 offers. one from the red sox and one from the yankees. he took the bigger offer. there was no other team other than those 2 out there that offered him anything.
