    Another team clinched a berth today as Davidson beat Chattanoga 80-55 to win the Southern Conference Title. Villanova also might finished off Syracuse for good barring a miracle in the Big East tournament as they won at the Carrier Dome 92-82. Florida put Kentucky on ice beating them 79-64 in Lexington. Also Ohio State wrapped up the outright Big 10 title beating Purdue 76-57.

    I would too but it is still early in the spring and I am not worried about homeruns. they will come eventually.

    well manny, ortiz, and varitek have not played for the sox yet so that has something to do with no homeruns

    Boras has so much influence on his clients that he would have told Damon he could get more on the open market. As much as you want to think Damon would have signed during the season had the Sox made an offer it would not have been the case as Boras would have swayed Damon towards free agency as he does with all his clients.

    Georgetown lost to South Florida tonight as South Florida avoids going winless in the Big East.

    With Scott Boras as Damon's agent that was not going to happen. He was going to take Damon to the open market. Boras' clients never sign during the season. They always go into free agency.

    The front office set a value on Damon and stuck to it. He got more money than he probably even believed he would on the open market. The Red Sox were not going to overpay to keep him a Red Sox.

    Conor Jackson was not the only one the Red Sox passed over. here are some other big names. Chad Cordero Brandon Wood Chad Billingsley Daric Barton Eric Duncan Carlos Quentin Adam Miller Jarrod Saltalamacchia One of the main reasons the red sox passed over some of these guys was because they were high school players. The only two who were not High School players were Cordero and Quentin.

    tough loss for the bruins. they basically outplayed the sabres most of the game but got lazy for about 10 minutes and it ended up costing them.

    theo wanted to take conor jackson over murphy and if he did then jackson would be our starting firstbaseman right now but since a scout talked him out of it, we are stuck with an average at best player in murphy.

    Murray State and Belmont(first NCAA appearance) received there dance tickets today. Also great finish in the GW game with the basket at the buzzer.
