  1. This is going to be Coco's third full season in 2006. He also had stints in the majors in 2003and 2002.
  2. 2 Bids handed out tonight NEC No. 3 Monmouth at No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson, 7:30 p.m. (ESPN2) Big Sky No. 2 Montana vs. No. 1 Northern Arizona, 9:30 p.m. (ESPN2) Also tonight starts bigger conference tournaments. Big East, Atlantic 10, PAC 10, CUSA, Big West
  3. You got Coco mixed up. He is a fast runner but has terrible instincts on the bases which is why he doesn't get alot of stolen bases.
  4. The sad thing is Bonds would have been a first ballot hall of famer easily had he stayed away from the roids. His numbers before 1998 were spectacular and all he had to do was keep going at the same pace and he still would have had over 500 homers the natural way. He was a 5 tool player once and steroids ruined that.
  5. Oral Roberts and UW-Milwaukee both clinched NCAA berths tonight. South Alabama will be joining them tonight as they are blowing out Western Kentucky right now in the Sun Belt Championship.
  6. All his records now should be wiped from the Record book after 1998. His Hall of Fame status is now in jeopardy.
  7. yup....hes only getting better and better
  8. Cnn.com has this story on the front of their website http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/baseball/mlb/03/06/news.excerpt/index.html?cnn=yes
  9. well we know a700hitter will be happy now
  10. I guess he has his timing down now.
  11. Graff is a solid player and did a nice job for us. Let's no forget he is a .268 career hitter and that is why he is going to sit behind Loretta a .301 lifetime hitter. Graffanino is not a fulltime player.
  12. Three more bids will be handed out tonight HORIZON LEAGUE No. 2 Butler vs. No. 1 Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 9 p.m. (ESPN) MID-CONTINENT No. 1 Oral Roberts vs. No. 6 Chicago State, 7 p.m. (ESPN) SUN BELT South Alabama vs. Western Kentucky, 9:30 p.m. (ESPN2)
  13. Gonzaga, Iona, and UNC Wilmington all get berths to the NCAA tournament tonight.
  14. A few bubble teams should be sweating right now if LMU wins. Teams in the CAA and MVC cannot afford any other upsets in other conference tournaments such as the Patriot, A-10 and maybe the CUSA.
  15. Are there any MLB players on South Africa. If not why the hell are they in this tournament
  16. RIP Kirby
  17. Cora is much more versatile than Graffanino and is also a better fielder. It's only a matter of time before Graffanino is dealt.
  18. Oh I guess until they play Duke they won't have played a real team yet. Gonzaga has an RPI of 10.
  19. I guess UConn, Michigan St., Memphis, Maryland, and Washington are not real teams since those are some of the out of conference teams Gonzaga played.
  20. I believe Wang and Wright were also bombed. Who cares about spring stats anyways. Spring training is to get your timing down for hitters and for pitchers to locate their pitches and to get in game shape. stats are meaningless.
  21. But they also had a very talented recruiting class coming in and Tennessee was not highly thought of. Roy Williams has done an amazing job with the heels this season and obviously should get a ton of votes but the job Bruce Pearl has done to bring energy to that Tennessee program and to get those players to play hard and to get into the tournament this year cannot be overlooked.
  22. He talked again while being interviewed for Team USA saying he was disrespected.
  23. Manager Buck Martinez announced tomorrow's USA lineup vs. Mexico: 1. Johnny Damon -- LF 2. Derek Jeter -- SS 3. Ken Griffey -- CF 4. Alex Rodriguez -- 3B 5. Mark Teixeira -- DH 6. Derrek Lee -- 1B 7. Brian Schneider --C 8. Randy Winn -- RF 9. Chase Utley -- 2B
  24. Bruce Pearl of Tennessee should win it. He took a team that was unranked and not as talented as North Carolina and brought it to the top 15 in 1 season.
