what are you talking about.....crisp is a red sox.....he was traded for and the sox have him under a controlled salary for the next 4 seasons before he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

there is basically no chance he would have come back after tearing his ACL in october. its at least a 7-9 month injury but at least he wanted to give it a shot. he did make the right decision to medically reshirt so he would be fully healthy next year.

Manny Ramirez arrived at Red Sox camp in Fort Myers at 9:01 a.m. this morning, wearing a No. 81 Tim Brown Oakland Raiders jersey and accompanied by his representatives, including agents Gene Mato and Greg Genske. He hugged utilityman Willie Harris and old friend Enrique Wilson before retreating into the clubhouse. The Red Sox announced last week that Ramirez would report today, but until he actually arrived no one knew for sure when he’d show up.

having loretta at short and soriano at second significantly weakens the defense up the middle. loretta does not have the range to play short and soriano is a lousy defensive secondbaseman. our team is fine the way it is without acquiring a defensive liability in soriano.
