    I think the dead arm issue is a non issue right now because he is pitching consistently unlike last year when he had a layoff between college baseball and minor league ball

    Alot of people feel including myself that the Dead arm he had was because of the long layoff he had in between the end of college baseball and signing with the Red Sox.

    No reason to rush Lester yet as the Sox are playing well. Let him get more comfortable in his starts in Pawtucket and then the Sox will likely bring him up later in the year.

    Grove was a great pitcher but he had his best years with the Philadelphia Athletics and not the Red Sox. Tiant had his best seasons with Boston and was one of the best big game pitchers in the 1970's. I not saying that Grove is a bad pitcher because he is not but I'm just saying his best years were before he came to Boston.

    Hansen's Fastball is considered the sinker.....Its a hard sinking fastball....Coming into this year everyone knew Hansen threw a hard sinking fastball and a slider and was developing a changeup. Thats 3 pitches that I know of.

    No one should have Eck when there were much better pitchers to pitch in a Sox uniform and Eck was much more dominant as a closer.
