Yankees RHP Tanyon Sturtze, on the 15-day disabled list, had an MRI that showed a small rotator cuff tear and bursitis of the right shoulder. He will be sent to see Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for a second opinion.
The players union is not going to go for that. The Sox will have 1 DH against Texas when they come in June and the other game is likely to be made up on a mutal offday on July 20th.
Back in the day he was once the Red Sox top pitching prospect....I really thought he would have been in the big leagues by now especially when he was with the Padres and doing well in the minors. I'm surprised they never gave him a chance.
This is the reason Beckett gets in high pitch counts early on because he throws only fastballs and hitters just keep fouling them off. He needs to stop throwing consistent fastballs and start making hitters look foolish with other pitches.
