  1. welcome to talksox
  2. Not while Aaron Rowand is on the DL
  3. The Royals are out of it already. Reggie Sanders is a proven veteran. Gives you pop and could be easily obtained for a B level prospect or 2.
  4. I'm like 5 miles from Boston and its raining hard here. Unless it stops I don't see them playing tonight.
  5. How about Reggie Sanders even though he got a pointless 2 yr deal at his age by the Royals. He is a playoff type of player since he has played in the playoffs with multiple teams.
  6. You bring him up when he is ready and that will likely be in late July or early August if not sooner depending on how he keeps pitching.
  7. And I am saying that the way he has pitched lately he will not need all season to get ready that he could be in Boston in July or August but since you want to look at the numbers all the time you think he can't make it to boston by then.
  8. Stop drinking your Yankee Kool Aid all the time.
  9. I would 3 months is generous and that the Yankee FO doesn't expect him back in that time from all the reports I have heard.
  10. Riv I have talked to people that went to his last start in Pawtucket and they say he absolutely dominated in his 6 innings of work. He had an explosive fastball down there. Those numbers a bunch of crap when the FO had him on leash in April. But you and your typical yankee bias can't overlook that can you.
  11. Dude I shattered my wrist basically similar to him and I still have not fully recovered. And that happened in 1998. I still have the effects of that injury. If Matsui is back in 3 months I will be shocked. Don't hold your breath Riv that he will even be back this year let alone the same player.
  12. I find it hard to believe that he will make it back in 3 months. He may never be the same player after this injury.
  13. No one has that story.....Meterparel always reports s*** and thats why he has no credibility.
  14. I think the Red Sox will give Lester a chance over Alvarez for the pure fact that Alvarez is a soft tossing flyball pitcher while Lester is a strikeout pitcher.
  15. I would take Schilling, Beckett, and Wakefield easily over Halladay, Burnett, and Chacin since all of the Sox pitchers have pitched in big games before and know how to get the job done in big spots.
  16. If the next 2 days are worse then tonight they had to get this one in or they would have to have played a series of DH with the Rangers in June not something the Sox, Rangers, or MLB wants to do.
  17. DLowe has never had arm problems at all and the sox gave up on him because of his off the field problems. The man could pitch in Boston though and Clement can't. End of story
  18. Pawtucket was rained out tonight
  19. Bowden done after 3 2/3. 7 h, 5 r, 2 earned, 6 k, 1 bb.
  20. When will the skies open up? Now would be a good time
  21. I don't think Clement will argue with Tito the next time he gets skipped over....He has done nothing to say he should have pitched in the yankees series tonight.
  22. Now let's get some runs and stop making Kameron Loe look like a better pitcher than he really is.
