  1. Nomar does not have the range to play SS anymore but he still looks like he has solid bat.
  2. Tonight's lineups: Red Sox 1. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 2. Mark Loretta, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Trot Nixon, RF 6. Jason Varitek, C 7. Mike Lowell, 3B 8. Wily Mo Pena, CF 9. Alex Gonzalez, SS -- Josh Beckett, SP Orioles 1. Brandon Fahey, 2B 2. Melvin Mora, 3B 3. Miguel Tejada, SS 4. Jay Gibbons, RF 5. Ramon Hernandez, C 6. Jeff Conine, 1B 7. Corey Patterson, CF 8. Javy Lopez, DH 9. Nick Markakis, LF -- Rodrigo Lopez, SP
  3. David Riske gave up two runs on three hits and hit a batter in his first inning in a rehab start in Pawtucket. He also struck out two. He threw 17 pitches.
  4. If you are talking about Natale then he started out last year in SS Lowell before getting promoted to Low A Greenville. This year he is in Low A ball again which just shows that he is not that good of a prospect. Natale played at D3 school in college so he really never faced that much top competition and the fear with him is that he would not succeed at a higher level because the talent level is significantly better. If you are talking about Buccholz he was a 20 yr old in SS Lowell last year before starting this year in Greenville.
  5. And those people really have no idea what they looking at then.
  6. Natale or Buccholz?
  7. Buccholz is 21 not 23 and he is a much better prospect than Natale with much more upside. The knock on Natale is that scouts think he would not have success at a higher level but I would like to see him get the chance.
  8. Milledge is the real deal and even Minaya would not trade him for Zito who is a FA at the end of the year. Besides Cliff Floyd sucks right now and Milledge might even replace him at some point this year.
  9. They won't resign Law at the money he wants but that doesn't mean they won't bring him back into the fold. He is going to find that not many teams are going to pay what he is asking for and will eventually bring his price down.
  10. He isn't being talked about that much because he is 23yrs old in Low A ball. He hasn't got promoted because he doesn't play great defense and he is not your typical DH type.
  11. I hope they resign Ty Law. It would be a big boost to the DB's if he was back with this team.
  12. And another thing about BDD is that it is an embarassment that the Boston Globe is somewhat affliated with it since Boston.com is the boston globe.
  13. I want to go to the game since I have not gone to a game this year and well it would be one of the good presents to my girlfriend whose birthday is coming up. Also this is the best rivalry in sports and to see a sox-yanks game is always a pleasure.
  14. honestly no one cares about dirtdogs.....you make it sound like they represent the entire RSN when they don't. They are a trashy site that uses dumb headlines to get people to read their crap.
  15. It doesn't mean anything for future plans. This could be just a one time start for Hansen.
  16. Jeter has had a ton of playoff appearances but not alot stands out other than his flip and his homerun against the orioles and dbacks and the homerun against the Orioles should have counted in the first place. Oritz won the Angels series, games 4 and 5 in the ALCS, had a 3 run homerun in the G1 of the WS, had the DP with Suppan sleeping at third. Jeter is a very good player but Ortiz what he did in 1 October should definitely whatever Jeter did because he carried the Red Sox the entire playoffs.
  17. Hansen will be starting for the Pawsox tomorrow in the second game of the doubleheader.
  18. I would say 4 innings would be the most he would throw
  19. Craig Hansen will be making his first pro start tomorrow night (assuming the weather cooperates), in the secobd game of a scheduled doubleheader.
  20. I'm in total agreement with you on Lester. Don't trade him for Willis who is overrated as a pitcher.
  21. I honestly don't know why pitchers even pitch to the guy anymore.
  22. July 20th thats right but that definitely will be an early game if that is the makeup date in order to get the Sox to the west coast as soon as possible.
  23. If they play on that July 21st it will be a 1:05pm game
  24. I probably won't want to do it but it does not look like the Red Sox have many choices do they. I'd imagine they will not want to play this game at the end of the season and just want to get it over with on an offday.
  25. Because that is the way it is pronounced in French
