  1. I missed yesterday's game. Lester must have been completely dominating. His price is going up. Cha ching.
  2. I am interested in seeing Gray. He has been on quite a run since he came up to the bigs at the end of last year. Pedroia can introduce him to the Laser Show.
  3. I think Pedroia is locked in and will go on one of his white hot streaks.
  4. A lot of people around here were excited to get him based on his numbers. However, he did lose his closer's job last year and he got buried in the Card's pen. Sometimes numbers don't tell the story.
  5. I can't imagine why he lost his closer's job in St. Louis.
  6. Mujica averts disaster on the liner to Napoli and the long blast to Bradley. Whew!! Terrible pitching by Mujica, but he got very lucky.
  7. It's about time!!! When the little man gets hot, this whole thing will turn around.
  8. It's time for the Laser Show!!!
  9. Forget about Papi getting challenged while we are struggling.
  10. Tough break. Buch almost worked around the leadoff triple. I don't know how that ball got through AJ's legs. He was down and the glove was there. There was almost no room for the ball to get through. f***!!
  11. Bradley just missed making that play. If he wasn't such a midget, he catches that ball.
  12. Pedroia is really struggling at the plate.
  13. I'd have to analyze the numbers for my own team o see what kind of impact a closer would have beyond NSVs.
  14. We need Pedey to turn on his Laser Show.
  15. Your point is that you can read a calendar?
  16. Which is all the more reason why we will not make any in season moves. We are currently competitive with that pig pile. As long as we remain in the pile, there will be no acquisitions or significant moves.
  17. Unless their is a big drop off in ticket sales or some other sign of waning interest or support, we will not see any significant in season acquisition(s). Heck, we won the Championship last season. This season is all about paying homage to the banner and honoring the anniversary of the 2004 team
  18. Stanton is a pipe dream like King Felix was a few years ago. Stanton isn't going anywhere.
  19. The core of the team changed with the 2011 trade with the Dodgers. A changing core is not the reason for the frustrating performance in April. Bigger changes to the core were made last year when we fielded a new first baseman, right fielder. Left fielder, shortstop, third baseman and a whole new bullpen. This season we replaced our CFer and SS. Everything else is the same as 2012. The difference is a fall off in performance. Last season, Buch burst out of the gate with 11 strait wins and a minuscule ERA. His drop off has been huge and probably the major contribution to our slow start. Pedroia has been a shadow of himself. He is the offensive key. When he gets hot, Ortiz will see more pitches to hit. Victorino has only played a handful of games. Uehara has been money, but he has shown signs of being human unlike last year. We can't expect him to replace last year's performance. The reason for the spotty below .500 start is not a changing core. That happened last year. The reason is a drop off in performance.
