  1. The Heat was owned and dominated by the Spurs.
  2. The Spurs took the heat to school this series. They were the far superior team in every aspect. Tim Duncan is probably the most underrated basketball player of all time. He is right there in the conversation of all-time greats. Definitely a top 10 guy in the history of the game.
  3. Francona out-managed his protege this weekend.
  4. I have almost no faith in him, but we need to see if he can still pitch. I don't think we can cut bait with him yet.
  5. And if the Queen had balls, she would be the King. They haven't had those games go our way, and we are not 35 and 34, because we are not a good team. We are 14th out of 15. That stinks. There's no rationalizing it or excusing it
  6. Here is what needs to be done: 1. Cut Ross and bring up Vasquez (There is no down side to this) 2. Send down Nava and let him play his way into oblivion in the minors. His pumpkin is not going to turn back into a chariot. 3. Send down Bradley and hope that he can learn to hit. 4. Get Victorino back and stick him in CF (and put him in bubble wrap when he is not playing). 5. Give Holt the full time LF job. 6. Gomes and Sizemore platoon in RF 7. If Buch can make it back to the starting rotation, dump Peavy who more useless than 2013 Dempster. 8. Rotation should be Lester, Lackey, Workman, Buch and Rubby. 9. Doubs becomes the long man if he makes it back 10. Crapuano gets a one way bus ticket
  7. They will have trouble getting to .500.
  8. This was a series that the Sox should have swept. They won the first 2 games and were ahead late in the last 2 games, but they coughed up both of them. They are just a bad team.
  9. Only the Rays have a worse record than the Sox in the AL. We have a worse record than the Astros. Embarrassing.
  10. Out number 3 on a flyball from the .217 hitting Sizemore. Are they serious rolling this s*** out there game in and game out? This is ********.
  11. A ground out from the .171 hitting Ross for the second out. Now hitting .169
  12. The .200 hitting Nava goes down on strikes. Edit: Now hitting .198
  13. Our last gasp today will have to come from the weakest hitters on our team.
  14. A bad team finding a way to lose another close game. They won the first two games of the series and will still not manage to win a series at home. They need to blow this team up.
  15. Miller is in. That is the signal to give away the game.
  16. This is setting up as another 1 run loss. Jeeesh, they just can't put opponents away.
  17. Brock Holt!! Not just a good name for a porn star!
  18. So, you are a horseman.
  19. So, the Sox should put him out there to give away a game or maybe two before he gets on track?
  20. He gave up 2 home runs in his first AAA rehab start. His 2014 has killed this team. He was supposed to head up a strong rotation.
  21. This was a game that they should have put in the bank. But they are not a good team and they let an easy matchup get away. This bunch is going nowhere.
  22. Whether he needs the money has nothing to do with it. All that matters is whether he can get more. This is a high paid guy at the end of his career. He is not going to want to do battle for minimum wage, and he won't if he has leverage to renegotiate.
  23. Yep, that's exactly right. They have to make things happen, and they haven't all season long.
  24. Morally? Are you guys kidding? It's got nothing to do with morality. In business, that is pretty rare. It's all about leverage. Both parties have leverage here, but I think Lackey has the edge. I can tell you one thing that will not be an outcome. He will not allow himself to be traded to another team without a renegotiation or a threat of retirement. That makes his trade value plummet.
