People have tried to compare Bradley's slow start to Pedroia's slow start in 2007. There is no comparison. Pedroia's slow start lasted a few days into May, and then he caught fire after about 70 or 80 ABs. Combined with his struggles at the end of 2006, it took Pedroia about 150 ABs to get on track. Bradley has had 275 ABs combined between 2013 and 2014 and he is still hitting on the Interstate.
Bradley needs to be sent to the minors to learn to hit. He is lost at this level, and his confidence is being shattered. As for Sizemore, it has surprised me that he has remained healthy, but I am equally surprised that he has hit so poorly.
Another 4 game losing streak. Being this far below .500 at this point in the season with essentially the same squad as last year's championship team is a little embarrassing.
RIP Zim. I never forgave him for his stubborn spitefulness of benching Bill Lee down the stretch in 1978 as the team was physically falling apart. Yaz pleaded with him to pitch Lee against the Yankees. However, he was a member of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers-- Brooklyn's only championsip team. Rest in Peace.
They need to nip this in the bud at 3 losses. Four game losing streaks need to be avoided if they hope to be a playoff team. Being below .500 at this juncture is embarrassing for the defending world champs.
Mujica took an ax to the game. He and Miller are killing us. The late inning wins and losses are the difference between the good trams and the also-rans.
As I steam toward Barcelona, I learned that the King of Spain has abdicated. The throne is vacant as the King of TalkSox returns to Spain. Coincidence?
